Answers Transportation is an important part of living in a city but the number of cars on city roads is too large. This is a problem because it causes massive traffic jams and air pollution. However, there are several solutions for this problem. The first solution is for governments to improve public transport systems in these cities. For example, better subway systems and bus links could be developed to make it easier for people who live in cities to travel around. Consequently, these people might think about using their cars less and public transport more. A second possible solution to the problem of too many cars in some cities is to make cars more expensive. If people have to pay more money for their cars, they may not be able to afford it and find other ways to get around the city. For instance, in Singapore, people have to pay more for their cars by purchasing a car license, so only the people who are very rich can buy cars and there are fewer cars on the roads there. Finally, the government could make people who want to use the busy roads in a city pay extra tax on it. People who do not really need to use these roads will go another way such as by using a ring road or a longer way on roads with less traffic. As a result, the number of drivers using the busy roads will decrease. In conclusion, although some cities have too many cars on their roads, there are solutions to this problem. The government should develop better public transportation, find a way to increase the price of cars, and charge busy roads users additional taxes. Because this is a growing problem, it is important that governments remedy this situation sooner rather than later. In many countries, people often eat at fast food restaurants.
