Metfrmin, ne f the medicines in piglitazne and metfrmin hydrchlride tablets, can cause a rare but serius cnditin called lactic acidsis (a buildup f an acid in the bld) that can cause death. Lactic acidsis is a medical emergency and must be treated in the hspital.
