Diane Zimdars, CEO As a non-profit WRC may not endorse candidates. However, we hope all of you who support Life through His ministry at WRC will research all candidates and vote for those who support Life. Your vote is crucial to saving babies lives. O God, we acknowledge you today as Lord, not only of individuals, but of nations and governments. We thank You for the privilege of being able to organize ourselves politically and of knowing that political loyalty does not have to mean disloyalty to You. We thank You for your law, which our Founding Fathers acknowledged and recognized as higher than any human law. We thank You for the opportunity that this election year puts before us, to exercise our solemn duty not only to vote, and to vote correctly. Lord, we pray that your people may be awakened. Let them realize that while politics is not their salvation, their response to You requires that they be politically active. Awaken your people to know that they are not called to be a group fleeing the world but rather a community of faith renewing the world. Awaken them that the same hands lifted up to You in prayer are the hands that pull the lever in the voting booth; that the same eyes that read your Word are the eyes that read the names on the ballot, and that they do not cease to be Christians when they enter the voting booth. Awaken your people to a commitment to justice, to the dignity of each individual human life, and to the truth that human rights begin when human lives begin, and not one moment later. Lord, we rejoice today that we are citizens of Your kingdom. May that make us all the more committed to being faithful citizens on earth.

As our Fundraising Banquet approaches, we continue to minister to our patients as the Lord has called us to do. New patients are referred to the Women s Resource Center Clinic by friends, Campbell County Public Health, school nurses or counselors, and Gillette Reproductive Health. Sometimes the patient is a previous patient that comes back for our services because she knows she will be treated with kindness, compassion and respect. She knows she will not be judged. The Lord has called us, volunteers and staff, to care for these patients that come to the Clinic and share with them the compassion and love that He shares with each of us. And while the big picture now is focused on raising our operating funds through the Fundraising Banquet, I want to share with you some of the big and small things that happen with the patients. The smile that breaks through a young woman s fear when she sees her baby s heartbeat on the ultrasound. The boyfriend that is very intently watching the big screen in the ultrasound room as we explain what is being seen. Then the look of disappointment on his face when the scan is over because he would like to stay and watch his baby. The patient that was finding out at 20+ weeks that she was pregnant intending to abort but after seeing her baby on the ultrasound and holding a model baby exactly the size of her baby, chose life! Finding out through follow-up that the relationship between a patient and her parents is improving, even slightly, because of this new baby. Not seeing what we expect to see in a scan and being able to refer the patient to Dr Biggs, our Medical Director. The patient had an ectopic pregnancy and received the immediate medical care that may have saved her life. The patient who did not want to talk about the father of the baby at the first appointment, yet at another ultrasound was excited to have him here to see the ultrasound. The relief on the face of the girl who receives negative results for a pregnancy test or STI test, and we can offer Healthy Relationship classes to her. The patient that was abortion minded but decided to parent and signed up for Earn While You Learn parenting classes through WRC. I feel blessed each day as I get to share in the struggles and joys that these young women experience and as I witness the miracle of life each time I perform an ultrasound. Although you (our faithful supporter) are not in the ultrasound room with us, I hope that you realize there would be no free ultrasounds, pregnancy tests or other services without your support.

Life! The gift that keeps on giving. What an appropriate theme for this year s Fundraising Banquet. Here at WRC we are so blessed to help women choose the gift of life. The free ultrasounds performed at our Clinic are miraculous to watch as we see new life beginning to grow. Saving the precious lives of these babies is what we are all about. That means 18% go on to have an abortion. Although we pray every woman will choose life, God calls us to love these women regardless of the choice they make. She was offered information about parenting or adoption verses that of abortion. We went over Post Abortion Syndrome and the effects that could happen to her. Still she was very set on abortion. As we always do, the other staff members and volunteers gathered in another room to pray for me, the girl and her baby as we continued to talk. Inside the ultrasound room we hoped her maternal instincts would kick in as she saw the new life growing inside of her. She wanted ultrasound photos of her baby to take with her and decided to come back in a week for a second ultrasound. That gave us hope that she would choose life. We are here for the teenagers and young women who are scared and believe abortion is the only option for them. Recently we had a return patient come to our Clinic who was very determined to abort. She had an abortion in the past and was returning to us scared and pregnant again. As we met I tried to share with her how much God loves her regardless of her past. When she returned for her second ultrasound we still knew the baby was at risk. Although she was presented with all the options to make an informed choice, our patient did decide to abort this new life. Our hearts were saddened yet we still reached out to her with Christ s love. Her sincere words to us were thanks for not judging me. As Christians we are called to love the sinner not the sin. Yet we know that abortion is not the unforgivable sin. There is healing and restoration offered to every individual who repents and seeks God s forgiveness (any of our sins not just abortion). I feel too often people don t understand all the love and grace each girl receives as she walks through our doors. Whenever I look at that ultrasound photo of this baby, now in the arms of Jesus, I am reminded of the task that God has called the Women s Resource Center to do. Those of you who support WRC are an integral part of our team as we help women choose life and love them as Jesus would.

For years I have known about the Women s Resource Center and supported them in little ways that I could: attending fundraising banquets, filling baby bottles and recommending their services. There are many ways we can give. We can give our time. We can give our talent. We can give our treasures. It wasn t until I got married that I heard clear direction to offer my I had plenty of it now and was always very drawn to their ministry. So, I waltzed down to The Center and asked if they could use my help. It didn t surprise me how welcoming and loving they were when I walked in. After extensive training, they added me to their volunteer crew. For six months I have been working as a volunteer Patient Advocate at The Women s Resource Center. Every day I am here, I witness miracles. Hearts are opened and healed. Lives are saved (mothers and babies) and hope is restored. Every single day God s love flows out of the women here at The Center. I have experienced it in many ways. Not only do I get joy from helping other women in our community, but WRC has helped me too. It really is true that God can use what terrible things have happened to you and turn them around for good. WRC has given me the opportunity to take my past and use it to help the lives of others. Such healing has come of it! WRC has an abundance to offer our patients who are facing crisis pregnancies: pregnancy tests and ultrasounds to confirm pregnancy, pregnancy options information and caring help and referrals from volunteers and staff. If you have been thinking about volunteering, I would encourage you to explore the opportunity. I have been privileged to meet many beautiful people through The Center. My life has been forever changed and I am grateful I listened to the call to volunteer at WRC.

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.our Founding Fathers got the order right when they crafted these words in the United States Declaration of Independence. Without life, any other issue we might have a passion for is irrelevant, for without life there are no other issues! This is the basis for my involvement in WRC. Volunteers and staff come to work day after day at this Center to reinforce this inalienable right, given to us by our Creator. I m sure these words are not on the minds of either the abortion minded patients or the volunteers, but the services provided to the clients is in effect promoting an atmosphere where this right can be realized. Perceptions that a woman carries into the Center may have been fashioned by family, culture, or circumstances. The loving attention and uncluttered information that a client receives at the Center can alter that perception, and give an unborn baby the inalienable right due them. Using an approach that encourages a woman to take a little extra time to consider her options, and tools such as a picture of her baby in the womb, can plant seeds in the heart and mind of a woman that can change her perceptions. Support by the patient advocates can give a pregnant woman the courage and hope she needs to address situations in her life that may have injected the fear factor into her decision making. Fear can be replaced with hope and a future when the Center staff and volunteers support the parents of the unborn child. As Americans, we all have a stake in participating in this work. Our country was founded by people who laid their life on the line to build a place where all can have an opportunity to be born and to fashion a future. Whether it s writing a check, or getting involved politically, we owe it to our forefathers to participate! As Christians we must not remain silent as the world around us tries to deny there is a God or tries to deny the fact that life begins in the womb. The world is crying out for the truth that human life is valued, and that value begins in the womb. My passion for life was reinforced with the birth of my first grandson. Encouraging my daughter through her pregnancy and watching Elijah develop on one of the Internet baby sites was amazing! This grandma has been struck with an even more sacred sense of the right to life, and more committed to doing what I can in my sphere to be a voice for life. I challenge all of us to do something to keep alive the spirit of our country s Founding Fathers. Please join the Women s Resource Center in our attempt to save these unborn Americans, and preserving this inalienable right for those whose voices or votes can t be acknowledged. Dig a little deeper into the pocketbook, set aside some personal desires, take a chance on the uncomfortable aspect of talking to people about the right to life. Fight for what you believe in, don t sit on the sidelines and watch our country continue to restrict the truth about life. There is a tide rising in the pro-life sea, ride the wave!

Victoria is and has been a Pregnancy Center Director and National Public Speaker for over 12 years. She has been speaking at Pregnancy Center Fundraising Banquets, Churches and Women's Conferences around the world, where she shares her own abortion experience. With her no-holds barred approach and genuine personality, her messages are humorous, thought provoking and powerful. Since 2005, Victoria has been conducting Post-Abortion Weekend Recovery Retreats, bringing healing to hundreds of post abortive women everywhere. She is the author of, They Lied to Us, now in its 4th print. The book is a collection of stories from women who chose abortion. Victoria is passionate about raising funds for pregnancy centers and has a true heart for the cause. She credits a pregnancy center for her own healing from post abortion stress. Victoria is convinced that pregnancy centers play an important role in God bringing healing to millions of women who are suffering from their decision to have an abortion. Her "Real Love Waits, I don't Until I Do" abstinence message has been heard by literally tens of thousands of students in high school assemblies, youth groups and conferences all over the United States and abroad. Victoria s message of purity is a timely one that desperately needs to be heard by the generation of today and for those to come. When you invest in something whether time, money, possessions or prayer it is nice to know that your contribution makes a difference. A bank or brokerage firm will give you a statement of your financial accounts monthly telling you if you have earned or lost money entrusted to them. You invest in your childrens lives and you can see that pay off as they mature and walk in the character of Christ. You see your home taken care of and family provided for as you work hard for them. We all like to know the outcome of our return on investments. Here at Women's Resource Center we want you to see the return on your investments also. Daily we gather detailed information or metrics from each patient visit to measure the outcome or the return your gifts and our face to face efforts are getting. Because of these metrics gathered you can know you are having great returns on the investments entrusted to the ministry of Women's Resource Center Medical Clinic. You are saving babies lives and impacting women and their families and our community for eternity. This compels me as I contact current and prospective donors to ask for funds. Financial support is needed so we can complete the mission God has given to us to save babies lives and women and their families from the heartache of abortion. With the annual Fundraising Banquet coming up the 18th of October, won't you consider what investment you will be giving this year? Perhaps the Lord will lead you to invite others to share WRC's mission as a place for great returns on their investments.
