Look Good Feel Better Certified beauty experts provide women cancer patients free cosmetic tools and tips on overcoming treatment side effects and restoring their pre-cancer appearance and self-esteem. Cosmetic beauty professional volunteers provide tips on makeup, skin care, nail care, and head coverings. Cosmetic kits are provided to patients attending group programs. Kits are available in Light Medium Dark and Extra-Dark. This program is a collaboration of the American Cancer Society with the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association Foundation, and the National Cosmetology Association. Road to Recovery SM Patients need not worry about how to get to and from their treatments when trained volunteers offer free transportation, as well as friendship and support, along the way. Volunteer drivers not only deliver patients to treatments, but they also wait with them and return them to their homes to help make cancer treatment as accessible and comfortable as possible.
