AUSTRALIAN COLLEGE OF OPTOMETRY NATIONAL CONFERENCE The aim of the 9th ACO National Conference is to extend the delivery of high quality continuing professional development to optometrists. Delivered by the Education Department, the conference leads the profession in assisting optometrists to build their knowledge base, attain and advance clinical skills and deliver the best possible optometric care for their patients. This year s two day program includes 14 presentations, a lively debate and cocktails on Saturday and a breakfast session and interactive symposium on Sunday. The program will feature keynote presentations by Mr Charles Brass, (Chairman, Futures Foundation) and Prof David Mackey. It will cover topics including OCT interpretation for brain tumours vs glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, paediatric eyecare into the future, a debate on the affect AI will have on optometry, the challenges and opportunities of a myopic future, public health, an interdisciplinary case discussion, the impact of genetic and environmental factors on ocular health, new technologies for visual impairment and more. The ACO conference will be promoted widely across a range of channels targeting approximately 6,500 optometrists across Australia and New Zealand. Our extensive campaign will include email blasts, print advertising in industry publications, social media, direct mail, the ACO website and member communication such as enews and newsletters. Our reach includes private practice business owners, employees, locums, stakeholders and optometry students. The National Conference provides you with a platform to develop, build and strengthen key relationships with optometrists. You will be able to gain access to high-profile speakers and up to 200 delegates per day in a relaxed networking environment. We can help you meet your goals by generating new leads and help you to build brand awareness among independent optometrists.
