About This CME Teaching Activity This CME teaching activity provides a detailed review of the complex anatomy and physiology of the peripheral venous system while highlighting the minimally invasive procedures used to treat the multitude of venous disorders. Expert faculty will share their knowledge of scanning techniques, pearls, pitfalls and challenges associated with imaging the venous system and documenting hemodynamic dysfunction. In addition to diagnostic duplex ultrasound and color flow mapping techniques, their role in treatment will be included in thorough reviews of commonly performed interventions such as venous ablation, sclerotherapy and thrombolytic therapy. Target Audience This CME teaching activity is primarily intended for interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiologists and other physicians who perform minimally invasive venous procedures and interpret or rely on venous ultrasound studies in their practice.
