NORTH WALES DEAF ASSOCIATION Ways you can Support us! Providing Help and Support for people with a hearing loss throughout North Wales Registered Charity No. 1048017 Company Limited by Guarantee No. 2959589

North Wales Deaf Association North Wales Deaf Association relies heavily on donations from the public to maintain our quality services for people with a hearing loss. Donations, both large and small make it possible for us to visit people in their own homes and provide them with the advice and support they need to remain independent and improve the quality of their lives. 1 in 7 of the population suffers from some form of hearing loss. This figure rises to almost 75% of those over 60. North Wales Deaf Association is the regional organisation that supports all Deaf, deafened, hard of hearing and deafblind people throughout the six counties of North Wales as well as their families, friends, carers and colleagues. How your money can help * 10 * 50 * 100 will pay for a deaf child to take part in an activities day that builds self confidence, independence and encourage self development. will pay for our Outreach Officer to visit an elderly person in their own home, help them with their problems and help to reduce their isolation. will pay for our Deaf Children s Support Officer to visit a school and teach children about deafness and ways to communicate. For the latest fundraising news visit www.support-nwda.co.uk

DONATIONS Regular Donations Donating by direct debit reduces our administration costs, which means that more of your money goes directly to supporting people with a hearing loss. You can complete a regular donation form in the middle of this leaflet and post it to us. Single Donations If you would like to support North Wales Deaf Association with a single donation please send a cheque to: North Wales Deaf Association, 77 Conwy Road, Colwyn Bay. LL29 7LN Online donations Online donations can be made safely and securely through your Pay Pal Account or Charity Choice. Please visit either our Main website at or our fundraising website at www.deafassociation.co.uk www.support-nwda.co.uk

GIVE IN MEMORY The loss of a loved one is often a very difficult time but people can sometimes find help and consolation in doing something positive in memory of that person. Some people choose to hold a collection in memory of their loved one at their funeral. Other people decide to ask for donations to the North Wales Deaf Association in lieu of sending flowers for a funeral. Family and friends can either send donations directly to us, marked with the name of the person they are remembering on any correspondence, or to your funeral director who will usually be happy to co-ordinate this for you and forward donations to us. We will acknowledge all donations and inform you of the total amount collected. LEGACY Where's there's a Will there's a way! Leaving a gift to charity in your will is an amazing way for your generosity to last beyond your own lifetime. Your legacy or donation will help provide services and support for people with hearing loss in North Wales. Your gift could change the life of a deaf person. For more information please contact us.
