CONCLUSIONS

CONCLUSION: 2018 VS 2017 ORGAN DONATION DONOR Increase of 32% positive registrations in the national registry in 2018 Potential donors (Def: potential + effective donors) = slight decrease of 3,5% Reported donors to Eurotransplant: remains the same Effective donors = one or more organs are transplanted : slight decrease of 3,7% Stable amount of DBD donors: 70% DBD Stable trend: 85% is a liverdonor, 5% is a pancreasdonor Reason of no donation (Potential donors): 38% donor refusals for medical reasons (increases each year) Slight decrease of family refusals: 13,5% (2017: 14,2%)

CONCLUSION: 2018 VS 2017 TRANSPLANTATION HEART Increase of the waitinglist (7,8%) Decrease of transplantations (-3,8%) Low mortality on WL (-55,6%) LUNG Waitinglist remains the same Decrease of transplantations and mortality on WL (-4%) LIVER Decrease of the waitinglist (-6%) Slight increase of transplantations (+2,2%) Lower mortality on WL = -21,4% Decrease of living donation (-8,3%) - downward trend

CONCLUSION: 2018 VS 2017 TRANSPLANTATION Kidney Slight decrease of WL and transplantations (-2,9% & -2,3%) Decrease in living donation (-5,7%) - downward trend Pancreas Decrease of WL (-27%) Increase in vascular transplantations (+14,3%), increase in islets transplantation (+50%)
