Students are trained to provide quality health care to patients with periodontal diseases and provide preventive treatment to other patients. ILO1. demonstrate the proper use of instruments commonly used by dental hygienist; ILO2. recognize variations from the normal oral structure that may indicate disease; ILO3. make accurate clinical judgment regarding the treatment needs of patients; ILO4. perform clinical procedure to help patients with periodontal problem; ILO5. demonstrate a responsible character during treatment of patients. 1. Students are able to access information from many sources independently and critically apply solutions to complex, real-life situations. The implementation of the dental hygienist PBL curriculum will be based on the oral health needs of Hong Kong and developed by specialist staff of the Faculty of Dentistry.
