Overview This two day course will discuss current advances in the management of head and neck tumors. The format includes lectures, panel discussions, and operative techniques. Ample time will be allotted for participation by the audience with questions and answers. The workshop will be valuable to residents, fellows and practicing physicians in the fields of general surgery, otolaryngology and plastic surgery. Course Objectives The objectives of this course are to: - Present a multidisciplinary approach to the management of head and neck tumors including surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy - Discuss in detail the diagnosis and current advances in treatment of tumors of the thyroid, parathyroid, oral cavity, larynx, hypopharynx, skull base, melanoma and sarcoma - Focus on current advances and the state of the art in head and neck reconstruction Accreditation This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the Univ. of Toronto, and Univ. of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
