The Center 1411 Brady Street Davenport, IA 52803 563-323-5295 Volume 2 FEBRUARY 2011 Newsletter We want to tell you of an amazing opportunity that can help students grow individually, as a team, and as a church! Here in Davenport we have developed a summer mission program that will be influential for administered through The Center. On a Neighborhood Connection Mission, leaders and students alike will experience Christian service on the front lines of the real world and grow closer to Jesus! Our top priority is helping students grow in their in the lives of our youth as they learn to serve the Lord unconditionally. is committed to teaching young people the importance of reaching out to neighbors in their own back yard as well as cultivating a heart for the world. Neighborhood Connection Missions began as a student-driven desire to do something big for Jesus in our community. During a mission week, leaders and students will learn what a few teenagers can do to make an impact in their church, families, and community. Teams will help families who cannot afford, or are not able, to do the work the teams perform. With each project, everyone will experience the rewarding impact of sharing Christian faith through action. The Center staff takes care of many of the details food, housing, and projects designed to give youth pastors and leaders time to connect with places. They develop closer relationships with each other, leaders, and best of all, with God. They arrive home after a mission week with a new sense of unity, understanding, and respect for each other. We would love to answer any questions you might have or better yet, book a mission week for your group for this summer. Give us a call!
