IDENTIFYING YOUR MIN BIGSHOTS CLEANING / PRECAUTIONS 1. Battery Door 2. Microphone 3. Memory Button 4. Foam tips Custom made Shots do not have this feature Red color or lettering indicates the Shots is for the right ear; blue color or lettering indicates the left ear. Color dots may also indicate sides. Every Shots has a unique serial number printed on it. This number is registered at the factory during manufacturing. Your serial number is unique to your Shots. 4 2 1 3 AVOID MOISTURE: Remove your Shots before swimming, bathing, applying hair products or exposing to wet weather. NEVER attempt to dry using a hair dryer, oven or microwave. Moisture from normal use may enter the devices and cause corrosion of internal components. Use a dehumidifier, often known as a dry aid kit, or a specially designed electronic heater for hearing aids known to reduce moisture buildup. CLEANING: Remove foam tip. Clean before insertion and after removal. Use the provided brush or cleaning tool to remove wax or debris from the device. Hold the Shots upside down or sideways when brushing the tip of the canal, to allow the debris to fall out instead of going back into the device. Shots are fitted with a wax-guard to protect the device from earwax. Please see instructions included with the waxguard system for replacement details. Shots may include different size tips. Choose the one which seals your ear the most without discomfort. Simply twist the foam tip clockwise on your Shots until it feels secure and cannot be removed easily. Roll the tip before inserting in your ear canal for maximum depth. An improper seal will not provide hearing protection! CAUTION: Batteries are dangerous if swallowed! Keep batteries and Shots out of the reach of children and pets. Never put batteries in your mouth for any reason - they are easily swallowed. In the event a battery has been swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. For more information call the National Battery Hotline at: (202) 625-3333 4. 9.

ALLERGIES / RISKS & WARNINGS INSERTING / REMOVING ALLERGIES The materials used in making your Shots are of the highest quality available. The likelihood of an allergic reaction is slight. If an allergic reaction should occur, it may take the form of skin irritation where the Shots make contact with the skin. If a reaction occurs, we strongly suggest that you discontinue use and contact your physician. A hypo allergenic material may be used to resolve the problem. RISK OF USE Improper fit of this device will reduce its effectiveness in attenuating noise. Consult instructions for proper fit. Failure to follow instructions could result in hearing loss and/or injury. Shots fit most everyone, but unfortunately NO HEARING PROTECTION FITS EVERYONE! DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT IF A PROPER SEAL CAN NOT BE ACHIEVED! BEFORE EVERY USE: Verify that your own voice sounds loud inside your head with Shots inserted, otherwise a proper seal has not been achieved. Do not use in environments where abrupt pressure changes occur. Inserting - Before insertion, make sure the battery door is closed properly. To insert your Shots, hold it with your thumb and index finger. Roll the foam tip into its smallest configuration. Slowly guide the Shots into your ear canal until it seats comfortably. To ease insertion, you may wish to pull up slightly on the top of your ear with your other hand as you push the Shots into your ear. It is possible to experience a mild irritation during the adjustment period. This should not be a reason of concern as the sensitive ear canal may be adjusting to the new device. If the irritation persists or if inflammation arises, it is imperative that you contact your Doctor. Removing - To remove, gently pull while twisting slightly on the Shots with your thumb and index finger. Do not pull on the battery door to remove it. 8. 5.

POWER ON/OFF & MEMORY FUNCTIONS VOLUME CONTROL Batteries - Uses a size 10A On - With your finger, gently open the door. Insert battery and close the door. Shots will turn on in five seconds. When placing the battery, be sure to position the positive (+) symbol on the side of the battery to line up with the positive (+) symbol shown on the battery door. Off - Open the battery door fully. Store in a safe dry place. Multi-Memory (Program) Button Settings (PUSH BUTTON): 1. Regular Noise Compression (1 beep-tone indication) 2. Mute. Note: Mute setting does not turn the device Note: Each time your Shots is turned on, it will automatically set the Shots to previously used volume setting. To adjust the volume of your Shots, push and hold the program button down for two seconds. You will hear a beep tone. Listen to the volume of conversation and if you need it louder, repeat the process. Each long press of the program button will increase the volume slightly. Holding down the button does not increase the volume more than one step at a time. This will prevent accidental increase of the volume to maximum which would cause discomfort. Once the maximum volume is attained, you will hear three beeps. The next sequential press of the button will cycle back to minimum volume. Volume Control Cycle off. Battery will still drain in this program. min...max min...max 6. 7.
