OLIVIA S STORY In November, 2013, the world lost an incredible 16 year old beautiful soul, when Olivia Wise passed away. In early 2012, Olivia and her family s worlds were turned upside down in a heartbeat. After suffering a series of severe seizures, Olivia was diagnosed with a very rare form of an inoperable brain tumour. Olivia s confidence, courage, love & lyrics gained world-wide attention when her heartwarming, inspiring rendition of Katy Perry s hit song Roar vent viral on YouTube (3.4 million hits to date). Olivia remarkably gathered the strength to make it to a recording studio two months prior to her untimely passing. There is only one way to give purpose to the unthinkable ending of such a special life. We must lean on Olivia s legacy and work together to make a difference in the lives of children and families who are suffering with brain cancer today or will be tomorrow.
WHAT WE STAND FOR The LivWise Foundation is currently embarking on some very exciting initiatives. As demonstrated by our Mission Statement, we are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of families living through the unjust realities of brain cancer. MISSION: TO BRING HOPE AND HAPPINESS TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES SUFFERING FROM BRAIN CANCER. The LivWise Foundation will be donating proceeds from the Liv, Love & Lyrics event to the Dr. Jay Children s Grief Program in 2014. This program provided unwavering and critical grief counseling support to the Wise family both before and after Olivia s passing. In 2015 and beyond, we are currently targeting to distribute our support across three core causes: Direct Children & Family Support, Cancer Research and Children s Care Facilities.
THE EVENT In keeping with Liv s passion for music and performing, combined with her love for children, the LivWise Foundation is thrilled to be launching its inaugural event, titled: This unique and exciting evening will showcase live performances by young and talented teens that will play on the same stage as our fabulous headliner, Andy Grammer. Andy is an L.A.-born singer songwriter and record producer who has reached the Billboard Hot 100 and is currently on tour in the U.S. We anticipate a great deal of media coverage based on the immense amount of interest from multiple media outlets.
