The new process will commence January 2019 and details will follow shortly. Meanwhile, there will be a period during the transition when uniform will be unavailable to order; if your child is likely to need any new items for the return after the Christmas break, please place your order before 30 November. Rotary Club Youth Speaks Competition On Tuesday 20th November, twelve Ashlyns students from Years 7-9 competed in the local heats of the Rotary Club Youth Speaks Competition. The standard this year was particularly high and we were thrilled that two of the teams from Ashlyns were awarded the top prizes of winner and runner-up in this round, progressing to the next stage of the competition. The app has a new name and new features, and now includes live streaming. Although the app has an age-limit of 13 years old, in practice younger children may be using it, and the content may not be suitable. Unfortunately profiles on TikTok are automatically set to public, so that any content you post can be seen by anyone within the app. There is a Restricted Mode which can help to filter out inappropriate content and prevent the user from being able to start their own live streams. You can find out more here: https://www.saferinternet.org.uk/blog/whattiktok-looking-latest-lip-syncing-app ASA News on next page
