Page 2 Course Description The Coblation course at the Ospedale Dell Angelo in Venice is designed to provide participants with the opportunity to learn from expert surgeons in a hospital environment. They will observe live surgery and have the opportunity to discuss surgical procedures, techniques and devices, as well as participate in workshops to gain better experience on the techniques needed when using Coblation. There will be a presentation given on the technology behind Coblation to allow participants to understand the principles of its use, as well as appreciate how it can improve patient outcomes. Focus The use of Coblation for tonsillectomy, turbinate reduction, uvulopharingoplasty and papillomatosis. Prof Roberto Spinato Dr Alessandro Abramo Learning Objectives To be able to demonstrate the technique required for safe Coblation use To build be able to describe the core principles of Coblation and appreciate how it differs from other RF devices To be able to select appropriate patients for the procedures to ensure good patient outcomes To increase the knowledge of using Coblation in tonsillectomy and turbinate reduction Participant Profile ENT surgeons who are regularly performing tonsillectomy and turbinate reduction ENT surgeons who wish to learn about using Coblation Both paediatric and adult ENT surgeons
