Attend the Conference World Congress on Drug Discovery and Development 2016 It was a big international conference (WCDDD), scheduled on 23 rd, 24 th, and 25 th of November 2016 at J.N. TATA Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. WCDDD gave a good platform to all researchers, physicians, pharmacists, social workers, health care administrators, and others. The conference was mostly addressed the educational needs of Geriatrics and Gerontology professionals from all disciplines.
My Experience The WCDDD 2016 was a good conference with a broad range of knowledge workshop shared in between the eminent professors, students and researchers and others from various fields and the conference was very well managed by the organizer members such an event successfully. Daily Reports: Day 1, 23 rd Nov, Hall- J.N. TATA Auditorium The first day began with the registration at the morning 7am to 11 am and there were more than 1500 delegates who registered on that event. Before the inauguration session, there were six plenary lectures conducted by the Chair Persons Dr. Padmini Prasad, Dr. Seetharama Jois, and Dr. Fahmida Khan. The first lecture was delivered by Dr. Dominic Benjamin, HOD, Baptist Hospital, on the topic Diabetes in Older adults and this lecture provides a better understanding on the pathogenesis of diabetes in the aging population and how it is required to successfully treat and prevent its devastating complications. Second lecture was delivered by Dr. Michal Isaacson, Prof, Haifa University, Israel, on the topic Aging and Urban Renewal in India s Cities: Seeking the Silver Lining, and this presentation gives idea about how the term smart city might relate to and include the needs of older adults within the new scale of urban renewal. Third lecture was delivered by Dr. Shibashish Giri, Stem cell Specialist, University of Leipzig, Germany, and his topic was How to achieve successful stem cell therapy in human
clinical setting and Drug Discovery processing in preclinical setting, and in his lecture, he explained how stem cell therapy is successfully conducted in his clinical research experience and tested the clinical benefits in case of diabetic wounds, burned skin, spinal cord injuries, and other cases in human clinical setting as well as in preclinical models. Inauguration Session The inauguration ceremony began with all the dignitaries and delegates and the welcome speech was delivered by the welcome message by Dr. V.P. RAO, Convenor, BioGenesis Health Cluster, India, followed by chairman message by Dr. D. Benjamin (Chairman,HOD of Baptist Hospital, Bangaluru, India), and Dr. MUR Naidu (Chairman, Nizam s Institute of Medical Sciences, India). Convenor Message by Dr. V.P. RAO Chairman Message by Dr. Dominic Benjamin After inauguration session, different groups were divided as drug discovery, drug delivery, clinical research, and geriatrics, accordingly to different halls such as Hall A, Hall B and Hall C and Auditorium Hall.
In the first technical session is based on the drug discovery, held in Hall-A, and this session was chaired by Dr. Wahld Khan, Co-Chair, A.P. Basavarajappa, and this was the session which was allotted for my oral presentation. My talk was the 6 th talk (Code: OA-06) and was titled Design and Synthesis of Anti-Enterovirus D68 Agents. My Oral Presentation During my talk, initially I was little nervous and feeling better with time, and finally I complete my talk with in 10 minutes and then one delegate was asked some doubt on that field and I am also gave his answer based on my knowledge and then finished this session followed by other oral presenters. Day 2, 24 th Nov and Day 3, 25 th Nov These two days were very great opportunities to grab and share knowledge with the other delegates and researchers and create some new Indian friends and enjoyed with the Indian delicious foods. The food arranged for the delegates was excellent and had a wide variety for all people. Also I was getting learned from the Poster Session from different fields. And also get interact with some scientists, and physicians and other delegates.

By attending the WCDDD 2016 conference, I share my latest research progress, and learned an excellent chance of meeting and building professional relationship with numbers of brilliant scientists and well established company representatives with specialties which are more helpful for my research carrier. Also a special thanks to my advisor Dr. Pei-Wen Hsieh and Dr. Jim-Tong Horng and my research group and MOST (Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan) and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital for my study project and financial support and others. Thus, Chang Gung University will be better known for its fully-dedicated researchers with invaluable research discovery that will contribute good impact for human s life quality and for the world globally. This overall invaluable experience has motivated me to commit a smarter work in endeavouring greater results.
