Jacksonville members meet at the restaurant at 2:45. Wilmington members meet at CostCo at 1:30PM for a 1:45PM departure INSIDE THIS ISSUE: NOTES FRM OUR PRESIDENT GREETINGS FROM OUR VP AND TREASURER MUSTANGER OF THE YEAR BOARD MEMBERS AND PRAYER LIST 2 3 4 5 MERRY MUSTANG CHRISTMAS Our Annual Christmas Dinner/Party/Meeting was held on December 10, 2017 at Blue Water Grill, Wrightsville Beach, NC. A big thank you to Dick Steinkopf for making the arrangements for us to hold our annual dinner here. It is always a delightful event. Thank you Dick, we appreciate what you do to make this happen each year. We had a very brief business meeting before our dinner was served. Bob welcomed everyone and wished us all a very Merry Christmas. He recognized the members of our Activities Committee, Jessica Goff, Glenn Spencer, and Gloria Thompson for their work to make each meeting and cruise in success. Bob also recognized Colwell Smith as the show chairman for our 2018 Car Show. Be prepared to volunteer to help to make this our best show ever. Bob asked Jessie to return thanks, and bless our meal before we were served. The excitement before our meal was the presentation of the Les Joyner, Mustanger of the Year award. This year the award was presented to Gloria Thompson for her service to our club as treasurer, activities committee member, and registration official for our shows. Thank you Gloria for being the person always willing to step up and help no matter what the issue. You are very appreciated. After a delicious, dinner JC Edwards served as our Santa for our annual Dirty Santa Gift Exchange. As always this was a fun time with gifts being stolen and appreciated all around the room. Bob announced that our January meeting with be held on Sunday, January 14 at Supreme Buffet Hibachi Grill, 209 Freedom Way, Midway Park. We hope to see everyone there to start the New Year together. PAGE 2 A GREETING FROM OUR PRESIDENT Wow! What a way to wrap up another great year for SENCMC! For those that couldn t attend, we had a great dinner at the Bluewater Waterfront Grill. Many thanks to Dick Steinkopf for making all the arrangements. Although not very much to offer in the way of thanks and for our appreciation I do want to mention each member of our Activities Committee and our blessing that they were all able to attend. Our thanks once again to Gloria Thompson, Jessica Goff and Glenn Spencer. They have all volunteered to tackle another year of looking for other events to attend so if you have an idea, contact one of them and we can make it happen. Our new show chairman, Colwell Smith is ready to lead the way for our show this year. Be prepared as he takes the reigns and looks for help with this year s show. If you weren't at the party you missed a great surprised look from one of our long time members and most ardent supporter of our club. Gloria Thompson was named as our Mustanger of the year for her unflinching and long time support as treasurer, activities committee member and just all around great person. Gloria, thanks for your support and my only regret is that Terry could not be there with you to share in our sincere thanks...not to mention that you hung up on him when I called out your name and may have missed the best part. This year has flown by and I have missed a meeting, too many Cars & Coffee to count and not one show except for Mustang Week. Get out there and enjoy your cars, enjoy each other and remember to keep everyone in your prayers. Till our next meeting... Bob

PAGE 3 A GREETING FROM OUR VICE PRESIDENT 2017 Holiday wishes from your VP: Emily and I want to wish all our members and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and may the new year provide good health and happiness to all of you. It is my wish that all of our members are able to participate in the club activities in the coming year. We hope to see everyone at our next club meeting in January. It was a great 2017 for SENCMC even without a car show. Our meetings, cruise-ins and Christmas Party provided many opportunities for terrific comradery and fellowship, not to mention the good food. Our Activity Committee did a fantastic job in coordinating several club cruise-ins and new meeting locations. Thanks to Dick Steinkopf for coordinating our outstanding end of year Christmas Party at the Blue Water Grill. We hope to have a car show this coming year and we need the members to step up and help our 2018 Show Chairman, Colwell Smith, in making the 2018 show one to remember. Pre-show items we need help with include advertising, obtaining goody bag stuffers and raffle items from local venders and businesses. Look for more show details and volunteer opportunities at our upcoming meetings and in future newsletters. Best wishes and god bless to all! A GREETING FROM OUR TREASURER Dear Mustang family members, As the year approaches its end, each of us should reflect upon the blessings that we ve received in 2017. I know for some it was a tough year, and the holiday times are tougher without our loved ones present, but we have still received many blessings as individuals and as a club this past year. Going forward, I am looking forward to returning to another excellent show next year, with a new exciting venue, and maybe even new things on the horizon. It sounds like Ford might even have some surprises up their sleeve for us enthusiasts for 2018! Have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year! Be blessed, Kurt

PAGE 4 MUSTANGER OF THE YEAR 2017 GLORIA THOMPSON Thank you all for the wonderful support provided the last 15 years. I am honored and thankful for the privilege of earning the Les Joyner Memorial Mustanger of the Year award.
