I need to contact old treasurer for web info to access acct online for statements. Prior to June 2016. I will continue to work on this. ILS, George R. RCM: Verbal not received. RCM Alternate: OPEN Sub-Committees: Literature Committee: Absent Activities Chairperson: Greetings Area, Activities has a little bit more money for you. I did not have all the numbers quite figured last time we met, but now I do. SWINA totaled in profit of $1249.28 Activities wrote a check for $885 last Area and now has another donation for the rest of the money made of $364.28. This leaves the $400 prudent reserve in the bank in which I will be switching to another bank near me, as I figure out if there will be a co-chair to place on it with me. But for now, the current bank is working out. We (the Area) decided to take back to our groups for a vote on a group level Halloween event, as area themselves decided to flood another event somewhere else. Group Level events votes are still pending are still pending however, Area sponsored events are now my focus. Gratitude dance is upcoming and needing to gather participants for donations of Turkeys, Ham, and sides and a list shall be available to hold accountability. (Did we have a DJ lined up?) Bids due today for Holiday Bash. And perhaps a vote to get things rolling and will be asking for ideas on New Year s Events. After this busy Holiday Season is over, next on the timeline is the Chili Cookoff. Just a thought. Any questions I will be happy to answer for you during or after Area. ILS, Laura W.

PR Sub-Committees: ( H&I, PI/Phone Line Liaison, Web-Servant) PR Facilitator: Greetings Area, From your PR Facilitator. Everything is going smoothly. I have one favor. In order to write up my area report I need to know what s going on in the sub committees. Please I m asking for your reports ahead of time so I can write my area report in a timely manner. Thank you for your help and cooperation. PI is going well. I ve got the literature order that we need for the booth we are hosting for the Wabonsie Health Clinic. The total comes to $51.71. I ordered the stuff from Mary and she was a great help to me in the process. Thank you again Mary for the help. I will still need to order some meeting lists for the booth. I need to make sure all meetings are updated first, which I have done. This month I am suppose to have our meeting lists printed for Area. Since I have a budget of $75 I decided to order the booth materials for the month since we have a set date for that on October 22. I will order meeting lists and have ready by November Area if that s okay with everyone here. I felt this was the best way to handle and approach both situations at hand. On another note, I wanted to let everyone know that I did attend EENNA s Area last month in September so I could update our meeting lists to make sure everything was up to date on ENNA and SWINA side. At one time I noticed and it was brought to my attention that ENNA and SWINA have the same meeting lists. The only difference is we print from two different places. I would like to ask this Area if we still want to print separately from ENNA or if we would like to maybe print together with ENNA again. I did ask ENNA area for some information to bring back to our area today. ENNA orders 2500 meeting list every 3 months. It was mentioned if we wanted to order meeting lists again with ENNA that they could order 3000 every 3 months. This would give us 500 meeting lists. The price would be around $40. We pay over $50 now. This is just a suggestion that I m Bringing back to Area to see what we want to continue doing. Also before I forget to ask, I need to some advice when I order meeting lists for the Wabonsie Booth in Clarinda. How many should I have? I m not sure since I am still learning in this position. H&I is going well. At this time Rick H. is stepping down from his position for personal reasons. Thank you for the opportunity to serve this area. ILS, Rick H. Your webservant reported he has not been receiving any posts or flyers. If he is missing something please let him know otherwise no problems at this time. ILS, Stacy J. Group Reports: Discovery Group: Greeting Area. The Discovery Group is definitely falling on hard times. We are having a pretty small turnout and have been considering shutting the meeting down. Before doing that we are tossing the idea around of changing the format to a meditation group. We would have just a few reading. No key tags or medallions. We would have a guided meditation of 10 minutes. Then a regular NA meeting. 15 minutes before the hour is up, we would have a 15 minute meditation. The focus is still the steps and NA recovery, but the

format would be a meditation sitting. may take, but, we are tossing it around. Don t know if we are going to do this or what shape it More will be Revealed. ILS, Dave R Just for Today: Red Oak is doing well no changes really averaging 5-10 addicts a week. Living Clean: Absent Harlan GSF: Greetings Area from Harlan GSF Recorder, We had 7 members attend our recent GSF. Thursday night Nobody s Group and Saturday s Serenity GSF positions have been filled. Gary M stepped-up to continue Wednesday and also take on Saturday. Stacy J. has stepped-up to continue Monday and will take on Thursday as well. The Harlan GSF Facilitator position is now open. We are continuing to take our group inventory and discussions are going well. We are doing pull-tabs for the Harlan area on 10/15/16. Monday night reports about 10-13 addicts in attendance each week over the last month. They have no area donation or lit order at this time. Wednesday s Anybody s Group at 11:30 is still not being well supported by attendance. We had discussed changing the time, but members that have attended the meeting are asking to keep it at 11:30 for now. We will see how that plays out over the next couple months as long as it continues to be selfsupporting. We are happy to report that our schedule for the Shelby County jail is working well. Our last meeting had several men and women and a clear message of NA was carried. A reminder that there will be the Gratitude dance at St. Michael s hall in Harlan on November 26 th (Saturday following Thanksgiving). Cooked turkey and ham donations would be greatly appreciated. As previously discussed we are in agreement for a change in location for area meetings. We are willing to be flexible in how this will be done in order to support a change and move toward growing area unity and focus on our primary purpose. In Loving Service, Gaylen P. New Way: Absent Straight Friends: Verbal Report New Freedom: Absent Visions of Hope: Absent Simple Serenity: Absent

Recharge Group: Recovery is Alive!! We at the Recharge Group are alive and ready to be of service to fellow addicts. On average we share recovery with 9-13 addicts per week. We have no area donation at this time. 2-newcomers, 1-21 year (Cindy-my sponsor), 1-2 year, 1-1 year, 1-90 day, 1-60 day (me). In conclusion we shared a $60 lit order with New Way Group. ILS, Tamra Lynn Straight Edge GSF: Clarinda is also doing well. giving more responsibility to members like sharing meeting & learning our process of opening meeting, setting up so all the responsibility isn't just me. averaging 4-10 addicts a week. sunday night is for sure our smaller meeting. ACW: Absent One Life to Live: Absent Let It Be: Absent Financial Requests: All operating expenses passed. Sharing Session: Turned over to Mike VP. at 2:45 pm Laura mentions the sign up for turkey and hams. Its suggested to order 50-75 meeting list for booth in Clarinda. Holiday Bash ideas are being thrown around out there possible Villisca? FYI New Year s Eve is on a Saturday this year. Maintaining phoneline is needed. H&I is now Open.
