GROUP AND SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS CENTRAL SERVICE COMMITTEE ELECTIONS Elections will be held at the November 6th meeting of the Central Service Committee for the positions listed below. These terms commence January 1st, 2013 and run for two years. The Central Service Committee plays a vital role in carrying the AA message for Districts 1 and 2 and offers a growth opportunity through service to all members. Persons interested in standing for any of these positions are encouraged to attend the next meeting on November 6th, 2012: Committee Chair Committee Co-chair Secretary Treasurer Entertainment Chair Hospital Visitation Committee Literature Committee Webmaster The Chair and Co-chair positions suggest a minimum of 5 years and 3 years sobriety respectively, all other positions suggest a minimum of 2 years sobriety. DISTRICT 1 SERVICE POSITIONS District 1 is still looking to fill three of its important service positions. An Alternate DCM, Secretary, and a Treasurer are still needed. The term for these positions begins on January 1st, 2013. Anyone interested in these positions should attend the next District 1 GSR meeting. LIVING IN THE SOLUTION - 12 & 12 STUDY Starting on Monday, November 12th, at 7:30pm, the Living in the Solution Group will change its format to a 12 Steps and 12 Traditions study. The group s regular meeting time and location will not change - you can find them at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, at the corner of Windsor and Allan in Halifax. EARLY RISERS ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION The Early Risers Group is celebrating its 11th Anniversary on Thursday, November 29th at 7:00am, at Club 24, 3 Dundas Street in Dartmouth. Cake and goodies will be served. Featuring guest speaker Joe M. All are welcome. Contact Gig for more information at 902-405-4967. 2013 ROUNDUP/ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE MEETING The 2013 Roundup/Assembly Committee has openings for the following volunteer positions: Committee Co-chair, Co-Treasurer, Registration Co-chair, Hospitality Co-chair, Entertainment Chair and Co-chair, Transportation Chair and Co-chair. It is suggested Chair positions have a minimum of two years continuous sobriety, Co-chairs one year. The next meeting will be November 25, 2012 at 1pm at Club 24, 3 Dundas St, Dartmouth. This is a great opportunity to get involved, give back to the fellowship and advance personal growth. TELEPHONE COMMITTEE NEEDS VOLUNTEERS The Telephone Committee needs volunteers to help staff the phones. There are three separate shifts: Daytime (9am to 6pm), Evening (6pm to 11pm), and Overnight (11pm to 9am). If you are willing to help the Telephone Committee on one of these shifts, contact one of the following committee members for further information: Daytime Shift: Leah C... The meeting is held at 8pm on Wednesdays. The location remains the same, 38 Trentonian Lane, corner of Trentonian & Mulgrave Lane in Dartmouth. DOWN HOME KITCHEN PARTY At the 35th Annual Mid Winter Roundup, Districts 1 & 2 are having a down home kitchen party on the Friday night of the Roundup. They are looking for members to help out as Fiddlers, singers, guitarists, accordion, mandolin players, dancers, story tellers, or whatever your special talent may be.
