3 On November 30, Conference Agenda Report (CAR) will be distributed to Group Reps Group Reps will bring appropriate feedback to the following Region Meeting Conferences are held every 2 years; we plan on sending 1 person in 2016/2 people 2018 (Alternate Delegate, too). The cost for the Delegate to attend this spring = $1,900 Election for new Delegate & Alternate Delegate held this January (3-year term) Suggestion: Hold an anonymous fundraiser if we need to raise money for 2018 Further information will be discussed at our October Region Meeting Motion to allocate $1,900 to send our Delegate to 2016 WSO conference made by Richard 2 nd : Peg 6) Step 12 literature Copies of Step 12 distributed at meeting They can be downloaded Send comments/suggestions to LitCom@nar-anon.org ASAP Deadline is August 15 7) GRCNA Overview- February 4-February 7, 2016 Renaissance hotel near Atlanta airport Per Bonnie (Committee Chair/P.O.C), all 5 sub-committee chairs have been filled The committees are: -Registration -Program Speakers -Set up/clean up/greeters -Literature & Merchandise -Print & Copy Committee members were invited to meet after today s Region Meeting to start ball rolling Expect great N.A. support Group Reps: We need your help! Please start announcing at every meeting that we need volunteers for GRCNA 2016 Committees! Please email GRCNA volunteer information to Bonnie: wsbs1989@comcast.net Subject line: GRCNA 2016 Include volunteer name, Skype ID, email address, phone number 8) Outreach Efforts No one has volunteered to become the Region Outreach Chair However, consensus was that it is extremely important to step-up our public outreach efforts Suggestion: Each group do their own Outreach Ideas: Take Nar-Anon approved literature to doctors offices, counselors offices, drug courts, appropriate events, local rehabs, etc.
4 9) Discussion of posters to adopt and use for Outreach Discussion of poster to adopt and use at sites where families of addicts may encounter them (rehabs, juvenile courts, jails, NA meetings, etc.) Per Marie, groups can order Outreach posters from WSO Per Lois, there is a PSA announcement on WSO website 10) Interest in rotating Nar-anon Region Meeting sites? EMAIL ACCOUNTS: Email accounts can be set up for groups within our web account without additional cost. Group users will be able to access accounts individually and change passwords, if needed. Only the administrator will be able to add/delete accounts. This responsibility, as it is associated with the website, should remain with the webmaster to avoid conflicts.
