Reports Hope Chair - Wayne B. (attached) Good morning I am an addict called Wayne. A few things to report today. Aventa is going well and the centre is very grateful for our presence there. Thank you to the ladies who have stepped forward to make this happen. We are still looking for a panel leader. The secretary will be sending out an email to all Hope members asking if they would like to be part of a 12 step calling list to help our friends over at the phoneline. We have officially moved over to the house we presently owe PLH 4 months rent and I would like to see it paid ASAP. We will also need to discuss how the committee pays rent going forward at the new location. I sent Dan Y a $100 e transfer on Nov 18. I will be asking for $101.50 today as reimbursement. Vice Chair - Al D. (written and retyped) VC Report Dec. 13/14 Met with Wayne to discuss duties of VC. Treasurer - Barb S. (attached) (Barb will stay on as treasurer but will mentor anyone new that stands for the position) Treasurer s Report Dec 13, 2014 Good Morning Fellow HOPE sub-committee members and visitors. Nov cheque from ASC was not deposited until early Dec and there are a couple cheques outstanding. When these items clear, our bank balance will be $742.78. The expenses incurred in the month of Nov were $344.16. PI: Meeting Lists $131.25, phone line $74.76 and Homeless Connect $34.00. Admin: $4.15 for bank charges. In Nov I returned the $51.00 cash and July allotment cheque of $100.00 to the Outreach coordinator. As I had previously reversed the July allotment from the books this $100.00 has been reallocated to November. Expenses that need a cheque issued today: Copyco for Nov invoice 53532 for $126.84, plus mailing costs $17.31, Rogers, which averages about $80.00; Dec outreach allotment $100.00 & bank charges. This would bring out bank balance to approximately $418.63. As I indicated in my report in November my one-year term as HOPE Treasurer is over. I am willing to continue serving this committee and I would stand if I were nominated. If another person is nominated and elected into the position I will serve as mentor. It has been a pleasure serving the Chinook Area of Narcotics Anonymous in this role. Barb S HOPE Treasurer. Secretary - Ron S. (will have minutes out a week after the HOPE meeting at the latest) Literature Coordinator - William S. (written report) retyped (willing to stand for the position for another term is no one else stands for the position) HOPE Literature Coordinator - William S. Public Relations Coordinator - Jeff L. (attached) Chinook Public Relations Coordinator Report to H.O.P.E. - December 2014 Dear N.A. Trusted Servants During this past month, I was in able to finally get some key items investigated. Public Relations During New Business, I will be making two proposals: one purchase Banners and one to move our cellular service from Rogers to Bell AND add Toll Free service I am submitting a receipt for $20.48 to cover the cost of my printing HOPE Flyers for the last ASC. Phone Line I happy to advise that Pierre has taken his new role as Phone Line coordinator and ran with it. He has a schedule of phone carriers established, each with a commitment to a 1 year term. Each carrier will handle the phone line for 1 week period every 3 weeks. November 2014 phone calls; 91 total of which 8 Voice mails were left., 52 were for mtg info, 9 were for info ( non addicts) 22 were from addicts who needed to talk. Meeting Lists Dave, Meetinglist Coordinator, has provided an invoice from CopyCo $126.84 This is for 495 Local Lists (Calgary only) and 345 non-calgary lists (for outside city limits and include the Regional Toll Free number) Newsletter I have nothing further to add as far as progress on the newsletter. It has been pushed off my 3

holiday season to sit down and dedicate towards a proof of concept document for your review here next month. Website Editing of the website is ongoing. I have attached the Traffic data for the month of October 2014 (attached) Yours in Trusted Service Jeff Lamb Chinook Area - Public Relations Coordinator 403.800.4850 4

Proposal to move Cellular Service from Rogers to Bell Mobility and add Toll Free service for the Public Relations Committee December 2014 Jeff Lamb - Public Relations Coordinator I have been researching the various options for moving our current cellular service to a better resource which could potentially include Toll Free service and reduce costs for both the Chinook area and the Suffering Addict seeking recovery we support via Long Distance. Currently, we only truly provide toll free service to Medicine Hat and Calgary. Lethbridge and all others outside these two calling areas are calling on their own expense. Investigation shows that each company has a variety of options when it comes to local/long distance / roaming cellular plans. I was focused on providing the most appropriate bundle of these items for the lowest potential cost to the area. Today, I am proposing we agree to cancel our Medicine Hat Cellular (403.979.2440), move our Calgary cellular service (403.991.3427) from Rogers to Bell Mobility, and add Toll Free service to further fulfil our primary purpose; so that suffering addicts from a distance have the opportunity to know that Narcotics Anonymous exists at no cost to them. Notable Financials: Cancel Medicine Hat Local Saving approximately $30.00 - $40.00 / month Add Bell Mobility: Add Bell Toll Free Service: Grand Total $40.00 / month (saving of approximately $5.00 - $10.00 / month) $11.95 / month $0.04 / minute (Incoming calls from anywhere in North America) $1.20 - $1.60 / month (Est. based on 30 40 minutes of incoming calls from Medicine Hat, Lethbridge and Chinook Area) $15.00 Total (Approximate) $55.00 / month (saves approx. $20.00 - $30.00 / month) AND provides PROVINCE-WIDE access toll free for cash strapped suffering addicts seeking recovery. 6

While I believe that plays a major part in the pricing but I have not considered that to be a major deciding factor here and am focused primarily getting the best quality for the cheapest price. Today, I am proposing we agree to purchase 2 units (or 3 if Medicine Hat is applicable and the group conscience agrees). 1 unit will be held in the Calgary to be used for any Chinook Area Public Relations event. This would include carrying it to any location outside the geographical area of the city of Calgary that the Chinook Area supports. The 2 nd unit would be sent to Lethbridge to be stored and used locally for any event that the Calgary committee could not personally attend. (The same would be proposed for the city of Medicine Hat if we choose to provide them with one of their own). candiandisplay.ca from Toronto is the best product with the best price. 7
