Nutri Products for Pigs NUTRI PIG s extensive feeding programmes and the product range are suitable for all stages of production. This allows the opportunity to accommodate a variety of production and management systems. Select a program that matches your objectives and aims to: Ensure more efficient production, with a healthier sow to achieve a production target of 25 marketable pigs per year. Ensure optimum average daily gains (ADG) for piglets to achieve the desired marketable target weight earlier: 70 kg within 120 days (porkers) and 95 kg within 145 days (baconers). Standard feeding programme Recommended for pigs with a high genetic growth potential where a fourphase feeding system can be implemented successfully. Recommended where piglets are weaned at age 28 35 days. Weaning Starter meal Growth meal Finisher meal Colostrum Creep meal 0 7 28 35 56 80 120 Slaughter Age in days 40

Rations for Piglets These rations are formulated using high-quality raw materials that will meet the nutrient requirements of the piglets. The young piglet does not have the ability to digest any solids and the ration therefore has a twofold purpose: Adapting the piglet to digest solids. Allowing the piglet to convert feed efficiently into body mass. 2103 NUTRI PIG Creep NUTRI PIG Creep feed is formulated for piglets weaned at 28 35 days. Provide the piglets with access to the Creep feed from as early as seven days of age up until approximately 2 weeks after weaning. Then gradually introduce NUTRI PIG Starter. Pig creep feed Product Name NUTRI PIG Creep V13321 / NFF4275 Feeding programme Crumbles / Mash Days 7 days to two weeks after weaning Intake ad lib Protein (min) 190 Total Lysine (min) 12 Fat (min) 25 Fibre (max) 40 Calcium 8 10 Phosphate (min) 6.5 acids.. 41

2105 NUTRI PIG Starter NUTRI PIG Starter feed is formulated for piglets from 50 days of age that have already developed a more mature digestive system. Pig starter feed Product Name NUTRI PIG Starter V13712 / NFF4273 Feeding programme Crumbles / Pellets Days 50-80 Intake ad lib Protein (min) 180 Total Lysine (min) 11 Fat (min) 25 Fibre (max) 50 Calcium 7.5-10 Phosphate (min) 6.0 acids. 43

Growing Pigs The aim is to achieve the best average daily gain with the lowest possible feed intake. In this way the number of days to market weight is reduced, resulting in more efficient pork production. 2220 NUTRI PIG Grower Pig growth feed Product Name NUTRI PIG Grower V13713 / NFF1074 Feeding programme Mash / Pellets Days 80 130 Intake (g/pig) ad lib Protein (min) 150 Total Lysine (min) 8.5 Fat (min) 25 Fibre (max) 80 Calcium 6 10 Phosphate (min) 5 acids. 44

Rations for Sows Feeding programme for lactating sows from five days before farrowing Period Objective Ration Last five days before farrowing Day of farrowing Two days after farrowing Five days after farrowing up to weaning Early milk flow Lower body ph Lower risk of infection Decrease the risk of constipation To prevent rapid mobilisation of reserves Decrease mobilisation of body reserves More milk for heavier piglets Higher conception rate NUTRI PIG Lactating Sow at 2,5 kg/day NUTRI PIG Lactating Sow at 1,0 kg/day NUTRI PIG Lactating Sow - Start with 2.5 kg and increase by 1 kg/day NUTRI PIG Extra Sow or NUTRI PIG Lactating Sow ad lib Day of weaning Wean piglets, and get sow on heat again No feed. Water ad lib This programme will be used when the sows are transferred from the dry sow unit to the lactating sow farrowing unit. Feeding programme for mature sows during pregnancy Period Objective Ration From weaning to first service First three weeks of pregnancy Subsequently up to three weeks before farrowing Stimulate feeding for improved ovulation Limited feed intake to reduce risk of embryo mortality Build reserves for good body condition (3,0 3,5 out of 5) NUTRI PIG Dry Sow at 3,5 4,5 kg/day NUTRI PIG Dry Sow at 2,0 2,5 kg/day NUTRI PIG Dry Sow at 2 3 kg/day kg/day Feeding programme: Replacement sow Water intake: pregnancy: 15 18 l/day lactation: 30 35 l/day Feeding programme: Adult sow Water intake: pregnancy: 20 25 l/day lactation: 35 40 l/day Lactating Sow Mash Lactating Sow Mash Selection Service Farrowing Weaning Service Farrowing Weaning 47

2305 NUTRI PIG Dry Sow During the period after service up to farrowing, dry sows must be given a Dry Sow ration, at 2,0 2,5 kg feed per day, depending on the condition of the sow. The pregnant sow should increase her bodyweight by about 40 kg during the 114 days of pregnancy. Feeding a sow during pregnancy not only stimulates higher milk production, but has a major impact on the birth weight and liveablity of the young piglets. This will result in a considerable reduction in deaths before weaning. Furthermore is the importance of the significant negative relationship that exists between feed intake during pregnancy and the sow s appetite during lactation. The more the sow consumes during pregnancy, the lower her feed intake will be during lactation, and the poorer her condition will be at weaning. It is therefore important that the dry sow does not receive more than 2,5 kg of feed per day. 2307 NUTRI PIG Extra Sow Lactating Sow NUTRI PIG Extra Sow is n high-fat and high-energy feed for the modern high-producing sow. Fats and oils are the nutrients with the highest energy density and are essential for feeding the modern high-producing sow. The unique composition and high energy density of NUTRI PIG Extra Sow have the following benefits: Heavier birth weight per litter More uniform litters Lower mortalities at birth Improved milk production with higher fat content of milk Improved immunity and survivability of piglets Improved weaning weights The low heat increment of the ration improves the sow s appetite during lactation Effective energy utilisation for milk production and building of body reserves Lactating sow feed Product Name NUTRI PIG Extra Sow Lactating Sow V17975 Feeding programme Mash / Pellets Days Service to farrowing Intake (g/pig) ad lib Protein (min) 150 Total Lysine (min) 7.5 Fat (min) 25 Fibre (max) 80 Calcium 8 12 Phosphate (min) 6 acids. 51
