Williamson Evansville Teachers FCU JWilliamson@etfcu.org Treasurer Jill A. Kruse Fifth Third jill.kruse@53.com Dear Members: I am so glad to have had the opportunity to be your Evansville Chapter President for 2015. We are half way through a very successful year. We have added new members and our programs have been packed with very useful business building information. We have had some fun along the way as well. The annual auction was a huge success and proceeds were the highest ever. All because we all work together so well. Fun and a lot of laughs were had by all who followed the yellow brick road to Tin Man for a membership social. If you have never seen grown men and women play inflatable bowling (game says for ages 3+), then mark your calendars for the next challenge - date TBD. If you have not been on WCR.org recently check it out. As a member you will find this a valuable source of information. And while visiting the site, peek at your profile to make sure your information is accurate. Someone might be searching for you to send a referral. Get ready for the second half of 2015 to be just as beneficial. More "hot topics" planned for our meetings, a field trip, and a party! I am pleased to announce that the officer positions are filled for 2016, but we have opportunities for you to share your expertise. Please let me know how you would like to participate. Looking for a good referral source, education opportunities, networking, support systems, look to the Evansville Chapter Women's Council of Realtors. Hope to see you at our upcoming meetings and events. Mary L. Upcoming Events Gilda's Club July 21st Join the Women's Council of Realtors on Tuesday July 21st at Gilda's Club-Evansville for a fun evening and wonderful experience. Gilda's Club provides a place where anyone touched by cancer can laugh, cry, confront fears, share triumphs and learn how to LIVE with cancer. WCR prepares and serves dinner for their weekly support groups "Family & Friends". This group focuses on the well-being of family members and friends who care for those living with cancer. If you are interested in helping with this event contact Kathy Hampton @ kathy@bartlettandassociates.com WCR Meetings: August - No Meeting September - 10th "Changing our Downtown Area October - 8th Combs Landscaping Field Trip November - 19th VA Appraiser & VA Lender December - 10th Christmas Party at Reitz Home Realtors - Be on the Lookout t All meetings are held at Acropolis unless otherwise indicated New Members The Evansville Chapter of the Women s Council of REALTORS is proud to welcome the following new members: Doreen Hallenberger, ERA Audra Fox - ERA Jen Borgra, ERA Amy Smith, ERA Kim Seibert, SIAR There are a couple suspicious behaviors currently going on in our area, so be on the lookout The first one is, when showing a property, be it Open House or Private showing, there is an individual stealing prescription medicine. Please remind your seller to hide or lockup their medicines along with valuables. If your seller does notice something is missing, they need to report it to the proper authority as soon as possible. Second, beware of receiving emails where people are offering full to near full price, sight unseen and then ask where to send a check. The check happens to be bad and before it can bounce, they back out of the transaction and ask for their money back.
