Physical Education GCSE Exam based Two exams in Y11 (36% and 24% weighting) One coursework unit (10% weighting) Practical element in three sports (30% weighting) Coursework based BTEC Sport One exam taken in Y10 worth 25% (One re-sit available) One internal synoptic exam (pre-release material they can prepare for worth 25%) Two coursework units (25% each weighting) Challenging course, strong in PE, English and Science (working at grades of a 5). Practical ability needs to be of a good level. More suited to pupils that struggle to apply knowledge in an exam. Practical element less important.
