The relevant subject, e.g. current prfessinal ptins, is written in the centre f the flipchart (r A4 sheet). Recrd ptins as rays: the varius ptins frm this subject area are recrded as rays f sunlight, with ne ptin per ray. First, it s necessary t secure the ptins that the client already has in their heart and mind. The advisr then uses his/her wn skill t expand the ptins, sending ut ther ptins frm the client s stries, and als actively making suggestins. Then, the client shuld initially estimate and nte hw attractive the ptins are n a scale frm 0 t 10. In the secnd rund, the client shuld then assess and mark in anther clur the feasibility f the ptins n a scale frm 0 t 10, and discuss the result In mst cases, ne t tw ptins arise frm the picture which are bth attractive and seem sufficiently feasible. These can then be further discussed and where applicable reviewed using an affect balance. What is an affect balance? And what is it used fr? The decisin fr a particular ptin can be reviewed again using an affect balance. Specific measures can then be set ut at the same time: what culd the client d t make the psitive value f the ptin increase and the negative decrease? An affect balance is als useful fr an internal cnsideratin as t whether an ptin is psitive r negative. Authrship: IFL, Irmgard Betzler
