The President s Pen Dear Friends and Neighbors, As we begin our 2016 membership campaign I m pleased to say that your historical society is transforming into a wonderful archival repository and research library where local history and genealogy are easily available and accessible. We have a few volunteers who selflessly give hours of time without thought of compensation, yet, it costs money to provide resources through the print and electronic media. I am disappointed to report that while we have had many favorable comments, including numerous Likes on Facebook, we are not growing our membership at this time. I urge each and every one reading this message to send in a membership donation while it s still fresh your mind. When doing so you ll note that for the first time in many years the board has raised individual memberships to $15.00. Monetary support from the community is crucial in keeping our programs in place continuing to enable our community outreach, and helping to preserve the past for the future!
Sincerely, Tom Cline, President THANK YOU To board member Pat Jamann and volunteer Eileen Sue Conner for hours of work this summer sorting through material and setting up archival locations. Pat continues to work on the Society s technology (Facebook and website). A warm welcome awaits anyone else who may desire to help the few make a difference for the many. To Honorary Member, and maintenance expert, Dick Hari, who s always on call and responsive for Church School building issues. Dick, also the primary groundskeeper for the Society, is a busy man this time of year. We thank him for his tireless care and concern. FACEBOOK The Society has a Facebook Page.
