Should the roads be hazardous at the scheduled Activity Center opening time (5AM) and a decision has not been made by the Public Schools, State Tech reserves the right to postpone the facility opening time. Please call 897-5300 for cancellations. All other cancellations will be made by 3:00 PM. FITNESS CLASSES Les Mills BodyPump TM BodyPump TM is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. It is a 60 minute workout that challenges all of your major muscle groups. We promise you will feel the burn after class! Watch for Launch Dates The Benefits Burn up to 600 calories per class and improve your strength and general fitness with Les Mills classes. You ll become strong and confident in your own skin. Improve your overall fitness and shape and tone your muscles. Safety First Good posture is the foundation of all exercise, so focus on getting your technique right from the beginning. Don t overdo it with the weights. Remember BodyPump TM uses high repetition to tone and strengthen your body. Start gradually increasing them after six weeks. Be sure to look after your joints by always keeping them slightly bent, not locked! Be sure to perform the movements correctly. How Often Should You Attend a BodyPump TM Class? Your muscles will feel a little sore after your first few BodyPump TM classes, but keep working at it. It will get easier and instructors are always available to answer your questions. After your first few classes we recommend a maximum of two to three classes a week. Remember your body needs recovery time between workouts, so rest at least one day between classes. Ages to Attend Class participants must be at least 17 years old. However, participants who are between the ages of 14-16 may attend if accompanied by a parent at all times during the class. 4
Evening Boot Camp Fitness Boot Camp Fitness is designed to challenge your current strength and conditioning levels. All fitness levels from beginner to advanced are encouraged to participate. Indoor Archery Indoor Archery is open to participants of all ages. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times. YOUTH SPORTS Youth Basketball Tournaments (Third-Eighth Grade) Mark your calendar for our upcoming youth basketball tournaments. Grades 3-8 will be accepted. Double elimination format will be used. Medals will be given for the top two teams in each division.
