EMAIL INITIATIVE The post has started an email list, for all the Post and Auxiliary members. This communication tool will help our members become more informed and, hopefully, more involved with Post benefits, services, resources, functions and activities. Many of our members have extensive experience in the area communities, coupled with many contacts, which could be helpful to the post. This effort we hope will help us with achieve our primary focus - helping our veterans with information and assistance when needed. We have started sending out periodic updates about events at the post or elsewhere in the community that the post is involved in. Beginning with this newsletter we will send the quarterly newsletter via email to those willing to get it that way. This will save the post money in copying and mailing costs, and save some trees. If you would like to be on the email list, please send an email to our default email on our webpage VFW5077.org, under the contact tab. We will copy your email address and add it to our list. We will not send you any ads or other spam. In lieu of this, you can call the the post at 636-272-1945 and leave your email info with an officer or put it on the answering machine. VOLUNTARY ASSESSMENT UPDATE THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CONTRIBUTED. WE HAVE RECEIVED OVER $1600.00 SO FAR. THESE FUNDS WILL HELP US TREMENDOUSLY TO FURTHER OUR MISSION. TRIVIA NIGHT WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THOSE WHO HELPED MAKE THE TRIVIA NIGHT A HUGE SUCCESS. A SPECIAL THANKS GOES OUT TO OUR CO- CHAIRMEN, GREG SCHOWE AND MELODY ROEBUCK FOR ALL THEIR HARD WORK IN ORGANIZING, PUBLICIZING, AND HOSTING THE EVENT. WE HAD A FULL HOUSE, AND ALL ROUNDS WERE SPONSORED. WE RAISED OVER $5000 FOR THE POST AND AUXILIARY FOR OUR VETERAN SUPPORT PRO- GRAMS. 6

BINGO NEWS Our Bingo on Wednesday nights is doing better. Thanks to all those who have stepped up and helped at Bingo. Our crowds have increased a little, so we are bringing in a little money now. The post has picked up providing the food at Bingo, and therefore have added duties that require additional help. We would like to say a special thank you to Alvie Owens who has taken on the task of cooking at Bingo. We are doing this to try to keep the Bingo players we currently have, many of whom look forward to eating at Bingo. Remember, Bingo is what pays most of the bills, so we can t afford to lose it. MEAT SHOOT-APRIL 21st ON APRIL 21st AT 1 PM WE WILL HAVE OUR FIRST MEAT SHOOT AT THE POST. IT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, SO IN- VITE YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. THE SHOOT WILL BE INDOORS WITH A.22 RIFLE AND BIRD SHOT. SHOOTERS WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN MEAT AND MONEY. EACH SHOT IS $3.00. (YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 11 OR OLDER TO SHOOT.
