She has over 30 years of experience planning meetings, providing training/education and supporting people with disabilities, their families and the agencies providing supports. She has a bachelor s degree in psychology from the University of New Orleans and a master s degree in Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans. She has a Government Meeting Specialist Certificate from the Louisiana Chapter of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals. She is a student in the Doctor of Social Work program at the University of Southern California. She has received the Advocacy Center Professional Advocate of the Year award and the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Louisiana Chapter Mentorship (2016); Humanitarian (2007); and Education (2006) Awards.
