5 Reports: Public Relations (PR): Hello family, public relations off to a slow start as this is a learning experience for me. The plan is to put some structure to the committee today and to get the right people in the right places. One of the first things I want to accomplish is to get a rack in all three parole/probation offices and to keep them stocked. I have picked up the new meetings lists and have started to pass them out if your home group does not have any please see me. I would also like to get a rack in mental health in Martinsville. This is new to me but I look forward to serving in any way I can but I have a lot to learn. Regional Committee Member (RCM): Region did not meet this month so I have nothing new to report. Jack and I will be attending this month. ILS, Gail F. Policy Committee: I am sorry I am unable to be present at today s Area Service Committee Meeting. There was no business for the Policy Committee to attend to this month. Thank you for allowing me to serve, Kim A 860-469- 5462 kim@webmastery.org Web Servant report I am sorry I am unable to be present at today s Area Service Committee Meeting. I updated the meeting list, put it on the website and sent it to the printer. I was in touch with the new PR chair. I sent out the e- news twice this past month on July 17th and again on July 18th. I uploaded the minutes. There is a new Meeting search App: The New NA Meeting Search App was developed by Narcotics Anonymous World Services to help recovering addicts find an NA meeting anywhere in the world. A Message From World Services: To carry our message worldwide to any and all addicts who seek recovery, we need your financial help. Please contribute through our portal at www.na.org/contribute. Some members have let us know they would like to be able to set up a recurring monthly contribution, and at their request we offer this feature as well. Activities Committee:

6 All is well with the activities committee at this time. We had our event on July 13, 2013 and we had a great turnout for the event. We raised a total of $493.00 this included $253.00 in food sales, $228.00 in auction sales, and $12.00 from the 7 th tradition basket. I would like to thank everyone who helped with this event. Without the help of all of these people this event would not have gone as smoothly as it did. I do have a couple of questions to ask the area. First, how much money should we donate to the hospital for them allowing us to use the facility? The suggestion that we have is $25.00 since we held the event all day. The other question is that all proceeds for this event were going to be sent to world but do we want to recoup the $150.00 that we used to have this event or just send all the money to world. If anyone has any ideas for our next event please let me know. I m thinking that we could possibly have a speaking jam in maybe November? Any thoughts would be wonderful. Andrew D. Thank you for the support. We have an addict celebrating multiple years of recovery on the 22 nd of this month. William W. is our temporary alternate GSR. We discussed the issue of adding a no firearms statement to our format and we have come to the conclusion that it is no needed due to the fact that the hospital already has a no firearms policy. We do not have a donation at this time. Chris B. A New Hope: Dear Family,

7 Our meetings continue to be well attended, with a great atmosphere of recovery. We have several newcomers attending and we hope they will keep on coming back. We have a $15.00 donation this month. As always, we thank our Higher Power and the Program for all it continues to provide. Gary K. Spiritual Principles: Greetings Family, The new group of NA, Spiritual Principles is doing well. Our attendance averages about 7 per meeting and thus far that has even shown some sporadic growth. Thank you all for you help and support. We have a $5.00 donation. Also SVMHI supports us on Fridays. In Grateful Service, Brain H. Stick and Stay: All is well with the Stick N Stay home group. Our new meeting is in its 2 nd month and is going strong. The decision to have a Step Study that we are using the Step Working Guide for is going great. This will be my last month as GSR. Holly T. will be taking it over in Sept. I have been grateful for the opportunity to serve my home group and the fellowship in this position. We have no donation this month. Dana M.
