List is enough for ~20-40 pediatric cleft & adult orthognathic and craniofacial cases. Less likely to need reversal agents than Norcuron or Zemuron** Sedatives/Hypnotics Diprivan (propofol), 1%, inj., oil emulsion, 200 mg/20 ml btls., 10 mg/ml, ~$3.83/20 ml btl. ** Store @ 40-72 degrees F** **Include enough 20 cc bulb syringes for anesthesia use** IV Induction Agents/Medications: Cholinergic Blocker Robinul (glycopyrrolate), 0.2 mg/ml, 1 ml vials, 25 vials/box, ~$21.49/box, or 5 ml MDVs **Used pre-operatively to diminish secretions and block cardiac vagal reflexes** Inhalation Agents: 10-20 30 ml vials 25 MDVs 2-30 ml tubes 2-5 ml amps 2 btls. 10-5 mg/ml &/or 10 ml vials 10 vials- 4 mg/10 ml vial 10-20- 20 mg/ml vials 30-2 mg/ml vials **Team might be using a lot of LMAs, but some facial surgeons prefer low-profile airways** 5-10 mg/ml vials 30-2 mg/ml vials 20-30- 20 ml btls. **Most children will have inhalation inductions** 1 box (25/box) - 1 ml vials or 15 MDVs

Halothane soln., inhal., 250 ml **"Induced with halothane..."** Ultane (sevoflurane), inhal. btl, used in combination with other inhal. agents. **Need vaporizer** Forane (isoflurane), inhal, 100 ml, **"... maintained with Forane."** **If separate vaporizer exists just for Forane, it will probably be used more. Forane may be the anesthetic of choice for longer cases due to less myocardial irritation, but not as an agent for inhalation inductions.** Reversal Agent: Post-Operative Narcotic-Induced Respiratory Depression: Narcan (naloxone HCl), 4 mg/10 ml or 400 mcg/ml **Keep from light** Romazicon (flumazenil) 0.1 mg/ml in 5- and 10-ml MDVs, reversal agent for Sublimaze (fentanyl) Antidote for Nondepolarizing Neuromuscular Blockers: Prostigmin (neostigmine bromide or neostigmine methylsulfate), inj., 1:1000, 10 ml MDVs, 1 mg/ml **Used in conjunction with Robinul to reverse muscle relaxants** **Refrigerate** To Prevent/Attenuate Malignant Hyperthermia: Dantrium (dantrolene Na), 20 mg/vial, 1 mg/kg IV push, up to cumulative dose of 10 mg/kg. **Costly** **Seek charitable in-kind donation from manufacturer** **Teams need to know where ice is stored.** Braun Multi-Ad Fluid Dispensing System, x1 Anti-Hypertensives/Anti-Anginals: Apresoline (hydralazine HCl), 20 mg/ml, 1 ml vial, IV inj. q 15-20 min. peripheral vasodilator Trandate (labetalol HCl), 100 mg/20 ml, MDV 4-6- 250 ml btls Purchase/use supply in-country 4-6- btls.
