The Schaerer AXIS 400-800 provide 5 model variants for the basic position and 4 model variants for the reverse position. The Schaerer AXIS therefore provides for various applications in all surgical disciplines - be this in clinical operation or in outpatient surgery. The changeover from the basic position to the reverse position, thanks to the modular construction, can easily and conveniently be carried out at any time with few manipulations. A X IS 400/500/600/700/800 PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS & EQUIPMENT The operating tables Schaerer AXIS 400-800 combine ergonomic requirements and a functional design. High stability, great load bearing capacity and a long service life form the basis for innovative and precise application concepts. The stable table construction, the table top and the telescopic column cladding are made out of highgrade materials especially developed for the use in clinical operation and form the basis for hygiene and a long service life of the operating tables. CHARAKTERISTICS The Schaerer AXIS 400-800 models are equipped with electro-hydraulic column adjustment and table surface adjustment for an optimum positioning in case of all surgical applications. Processor controlled systems guarantee an exact controlling and movement of the operating table. Head plate and leg plates, depending on the model variant and position, can easily and safely be adjusted manually or electro-hydraulically. Gas lift springs assist the corresponding manual position changes. AXIS MODELS AND COMPONENTS The models Schaerer AXIS 400-800, because of the modular construction of the table tops in basic and reverse position as well as by the eccentrically arranged telescopic column, enable an unobstructed utilisation of the image intensifier, without calling for a longitudinal displacement of the table top. The table top parts are X-ray translucent for working with the C-arm. The operating field is situated above the narrow part of the table foot and therefore guarantees optimum accessibility and freedom of movement for the operating surgeon. The high-grade pads with electrically conductive covering have a particularly good resistance against disinfectants. SCHAERER AXIS 800 The mobile operating table for all surgical applications, which require maximum image intensifier freedom. With an image intensifier window of 1900 x 370 mm, the Schaerer AXIS 800 has been developed especially for applications, in the case of which a very high image intensifier free access is indispensable. Particularly for neuro-surgery and ENT procedures, the individually adjustable «Beach-Chair-Position» enables the unobstructed access to the operating field and an optimum positioning of the patient. The high stability of the Schaerer AXIS 800, its table top lowerable to a very low position as well as the expanded foot freedom for the surgeon in a sitting position, in case of flat positions in reverse position provide optimum prerequisites for all procedures in the head and throat area.
