Our approach We offer treatments for the full range of disorders and injuries of the hands, elbows and shoulders. Our department has extensive clinical experience in treating hand, elbow and shoulder problems, and in restoring function in the upper extremities. In addition to our clinical expertise, we offer state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment as well as comprehensive follow-up treatment that is delivered by experienced hand therapy specialists and physiotherapists. The quality of postoperative care is a deciding factor in the success of upper extremity surgery. Treatment planning meetings are held daily, with all follow-up treatment planned in accordance with the specific needs of the patient and in close cooperation with our experienced occupational therapists and physiotherapists. If required, patients can be fitted with braces and/or other support devices. All of our support devices are custom-made by our occupational therapy section and meet the highest standards of quality.

We use the latest surgical techniques in order to alleviate pain and restore function to affected joints. Your well-being is central to everything we do. The decision as to the best possible treatment options for your case will be guided by the latest scientific evidence, many years of experience and your personal needs. Other factors that help to produce successful treatment outcomes include comprehensive follow-up care, modern wound management and high quality nursing care. Areas of specialization Staff within the Department of Upper Extremities, Hand and Microsurgery have developed certain areas of specialization that allow us to offer a level of expertise rarely seen in other German treatment centers to much larger numbers of patients.
