The STEPS survey of chronic disease risk factors in Indonesia/Depok was carried out from February 2003 to March 2003. Indonesia/Depok carried out Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3. Socio demographic and behavioural information was collected in Step 1. Physical measurements such as height, weight and blood pressure were collected in Step 2, biochemical measurements were collected to assess blood glucose two hours blood glucose load 75 mg in 300 ml water and total cholesterol in Step 3. The STEPS survey in Depok, Indonesia was a population-based survey of adults aged 25-64. A two stage cluster stratified random sampling sample design was used to produce representative data for that age range in Indonesia/Depok. A total of 1806 adults participated in the Indonesia/Depok STEPS survey. The overall response rate was 82.09% A repeat survey is planned for 2006 if funds permit.
