Executive Reports Chair [ Leslie H. ] Chair Report Hello ASC This is officially my first ASC meeting as the new Chair. I just wanted to thank you for giving the opportunity to be of service to our area. Within this past month, I was able to help Jon G. to pay the Verizon bill for PR, and go over the deposit. According to Jon G, he said he was able to mail out two checks in the amount of $1500 total of $3000 to Region. However, they have not been posted yet. As of today our current balance according to the bank account is $8988.01. When both the new treasurer and Jon G is available we will do a thorough audit in order to make sure all things are accounted for. I also wanted to remind all the sub-committee chairs to go over your guidelines with your sub-committee and budgets in order to get those submitted and approved. Please remember to submit a written report each month to the ASC, please include in those reports dates, times and locations of your business meetings. I was able to get into the Southwest Center and sign the contract for our ASC meetings. At that time it was brought to my attention that we would be able to meet at the Southwest Center in Cedar City for the months that we are meeting in Cedar. I just wanted to bring that information to the ASC. If this is something we decide to do, we will be able to get access to their building with my allocated key fob. I am not sure if I am forgetting something, I guess if I remember along the way, I will let all of you know. Again, thank you for allowing me to be of service, Leslie Co Chair [Tysen J.] No report Secretary [Mary] Good Evening everyone, I am still getting my bearings and have been fighting with some chronic bronchitis. I am still learning how to format and compile reports and things might look choppy or even need fine tuning...i will again do my best. I spoke with Leslie and she asked to make sure each of our area sub committees turn in updated guidelines for next month. Please email them to

me and I will print them out and keep hard copies for our area as well. I am looking forward to being able to serve without being sick. Thanks for your patience during my transition. MaryM. Treasurer [Open Position] Treasurer position is open and Leslie H is filling in. The treasurer's report is included in the co chair report. RCM [Lisa G..] No Report Entertainment -POSITION OPEN H&I [Jessica ] The business meeting went well. Tacy H. was voted in as panel leader for falcon ridge. Purgatory women's has been tabled again until next month so the nominee who expressed interested has more experience with that facility. Melissa is doing a fantastic job of filling in for now. The issue of getting keytags for facilities with H&I funds was discussed and will be discussed further at our next business meeting. In the past, H&I has not provided keytags for for profit facilities. We meet the Friday before area at 6pm at the southwest center, 2nd floor. Thanks for letting me serve, Jessica W

Outreach [Daniel P.] Hello everyone, Outreach met at the Southwest Center, with 3 in attendance. We discussed our budget, came up with new ideas, and planned some meeting to attend in March. We would like to motion our budget for $700 again. The money would be used as followed; $250 for literature $100 for posters and/or copies $200 for gas $150 for miscellaneous expenses We will be attending Mesquite every other Tuesday at 1:30 pst and Hurricane on Sundays at 8pm, also every other week. We will be at the Rainbow meeting at 6pm at the club on the 22nd, and Kanab's new meeting on Saturdays at 4pm on the 25th. Outreach will hold our elections at our next business meeting on April 7th at 5pm in room 208 at the Southwest Center. Also, our offer still stands for new and/or current GSRs. We will hold a GSR workshop if anyone would like it. Thank you for allowing me to serve. PR [Jerry C ]. Public Relations Report March 2017 The committee discussed the phone line in detail in the last meeting. New guidelines will be created in the near future that deal with 12 step calls and avenues the phone line coordinator has in regard to a 12-step call received by our help line. In addition, the phone line needs created guidelines anyways. Information regarding Narcotics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous of Southern Utah was given to the Utah National Guard. This information is going out state wide within the National Guard. This is a huge avenue to carry our message to another population such as our state service men. New posters will be created this month to distribute in our area. These new posters are more informational about Narcotics Anonymous., and will give the public a better understanding. Next weekend the Regional Service Committee meeting will be held here in Southern Utah. Are we as an ASC supposed to get the location available for this? The PR

committee also voted on holding a Learning Days event this year. The regional delegate will help out for this event, and the PR committee are hopeful this will be a huge benefit for our members. The RSC may be coming to So. Utah twice and this event would coincide with the RSC. We had ten phone calls this month ranging from information about meetings to talking with someone while detoxing. We have not purchased the new phone yet because we are in the process of negotiating a fee the phone company is trying to implement. The phone bill this month is $33.75. 500 meeting lists were sent out to all GSR s, Hurricane, Richfield, Mesquite, and all public locations in our area. Our website bill is due in the amount of $86.00 and needs to be paid by March 16, 2017! P.R.
