Stewarding our Revenue Where Funding Goes 75% supports outreach and community programs in the Greater KC service area. 25% supports global breast cancer research portfolio Low Expense Ratio 83 cents of every dollar goes to mission Komen Kansas City is the local source for funding programs that provide breast health services, breast cancer education and outreach in our 17-county Kansas & Missouri service area. We empower the residents in our service area with information about the importance of early detection and breast health. Since 1994, Komen Kansas City has raised more than $13.6 million with $10.5 million in local programs and $3.1 million in national research grants. 9

Be Involved 2015 Race for the Cure 09.13.15 The Komen Kansas City Race for the Cure is an annual 5K Fun Run/Walk that attracts nearly 20,000 people to its extraordinary new Race location, Kansas City s own Worlds of Fun. Our participants both run/walk to save lives, but additionally participate in an outstanding Race Expo experience to include food-beverage-product sampling, company information and services, live entertainment and more. Race Day is about awareness, empowerment, and most importantly, celebrating life.
