Why should we care about the ACA? Did you know: 1 in 5 adults approximately 43.8 million Americans experience mental illness in a given year. 1 in 25 about 13.6 million Americans live with a serious mental illness. Approximately 60% of adults with a mental illness received no mental health services within the previous year. Individuals living with a serious mental illness face an increase risk of having chronic medical conditions. Why should we care about the ACA? Did you know: And of most concern. Many Peers have some familiarity with the ACA and Medi-Cal. Not as many Peers have had direct experience with the enrollment process. Peers have varying degrees of understanding about CHURN and how it effects the people being supported.
