How to Adjust the Back Support System Step 1 Ensure tension on the back support is fully released. This is done by pressing all the 5 quick release buttons on the frame of the chair Step 2 Sit back on the chair and identify where support is needed from the back of the chair Step 3 Once you have identified the zone that requires support, lift back the gray ratchet lever so that it clicks and moves the strap towards the midline of the chair Step 4 There are 15 numbers from 1 15 on the strap. The appropriate number lines up with a marker that is visible when the gray lever is lifted up. Step 5 When you reach the end of the adjustment (# 15), you will hear an audible change on the click of the ratchet lever Step 6 Repeat the same process for the other zones that you feel you need support Step 7 You can achieve greater support at a particular zone by reducing the support above and below that zone.
