March 8, 2017 Robert Ackerman, MSW Private Practice (Disclosure: Mr. Ackerman has no relevant financial disclosure) OCD: Endless Varieties of Content with Underlying Structural Sameness --Designing Customized Treatment Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as the Overarching Theory. (Lecture and film: "Jack Gets in the Door" - an actual session film of an OCD patient with OCD of a violent abhorrent nature will be shown and discussed.) Learning 1. The attendee will understand the highly specific Cognitive Behavioral theory and techniques of diagnosis and treatment of OCD to address emerging technologies and their integration into outpatient psychiatric care.

2. The attendee will know customized planning of treatment techniques and their application for the OCD patient based on the presenting content. 3. The attendee will gain insights into the process of treatment and ongoing relief of suffering through the instillation of hope and development of self efficacy. 5. Using Creative Arts Therapies to Promote Play, Social -Relatedness and Self-Expression in ASD Learning 1. Discover the important role the creative arts therapies can play in supporting children with ASD to communicate their unique feelings and perspectives about their experience and the world around them. 2. Learn how creative movement, dance, body awareness and relaxation activities can be used to support internal regulation, strengthen attachment relationships and build social skills for children with ASD. 3. Learn how to understand, communicate and work with difficult, obscure and hard to read nonverbal cues through an interactive nonverbal observation system based on dance/movement therapy principles and Laban nonverbal movement analysis.
