Step a Sorbent Mass Selection Sorbent mass dictates the amount of sample that can be loaded onto the SPE sorbent and also determines the elution volume necessary, which are both critical factors in sample preparation work. Strata-X and Strata-XL polymeric sorbents provide higher loading capacities when compared to silica-based sorbents. Select the proper sorbent mass by using the chart below.
