Implementation- By October 2013, ESMMKC, in collaboration with Kershaw Health s Healthy Kershaw County initiative and United Way of Kershaw County s Health Care Council, will engage 50 Kershaw County businesses to implement at least one strategy to make the healthy choice the easy choice. By May 2013, a Kershaw County greenways/trails plan will be developed through public and governmental input to identify current and potential walking and biking routes and green spaces. Implementation-1.3 Our objective is to implement and improve the effectiveness of the 2As + R intervention through providing several follow-up measures. The data collected at the end of each phase will provide information about success rates of patients that have attempted to quit smoking. 1.5 Our objective is to educate families and faith communities about smoke-free homes and vehicles trough providing a short video and health counseling. Self-report data will be collected before and after the intervention in order to record the attitudes of the community members towards secondhand smoke and their willingness to change their behavior based on the information provided during the health screening.
