The Family YMCA s Y-130 Center first opened in downtown Thomson in 2009, providing a space for arts and humanities programming. Current programming at the Thomson Program Center includes Cheerleading, Gymnastics, Karate, Ballet/Jazz, Creative Arts classes and day camp throughout the year. Starting in May 2015, the Program Center will move into a new 11,000 sq. ft building on W Hill Street. MEMBERSHIP MEANS MORE You are not a member of a gym when you join the Family YMCA; you are a member of a family. Membership benefits include access to wellness and aquatics facilities, a reduced rate on all programs, free adult group exercise classes, water aerobics, child watch services, volunteer opportunities, and much more. Membership Rates vary by age, number of individuals included, and branch location. Joiner s Fees are required for all new members joining the YMCA or members who let their membership lapse for more than 6 months. Payment Options include an annual payment upon joining or bank draft membership fees are withdrawn from a checking or savings account each month. Financial Assistance is available so that no one is turned away from the Y due to the inability to pay. Pick up a form at the Y or download from our website. Guest Policy and Fees are available for guests who will temporarily use our facility. Members may bring unlimited guests as long as each guest comes no more than 3 times in the same calendar year for free. All guests must complete a guest registration form and show a picture ID upon entrance. Local Guests may try the Y for free once and can extend the experience for $15/per adult for one week. Dependents of paying adults can enjoy the Y for free during this week. If local guests choose to join within the week, the $15 fee will be applied towards their Joiner s Fee or membership. Out of Town Guests may have access to Family Y facilities for $15 per week for up to 4 weeks. Dependents of paying adults can enjoy the Y for free. Guest privileges vary by season and Family Y location. SOAK UP THE FUN AT SUMMER CAMPS Kids will have an awesome summer at traditional summer day camp offered by the Thomson Family YMCA. Campers bring a backpack, water bottle, sack lunch, snack and spray-on sunscreen. Unless otherwise specified, camp activities are 9:00 am-4:00 pm with early drop-off beginning at 7:00 am and late pick-up until 6:00 pm provided at no additional charge. There is a $20 per child ($10 each additional child in the household) one-time, nonrefundable registration fee in addition to weekly camp fees. Call the Program Center at for more information. Gymnastics Conditioning Camp - Ages 6 to 14 Gymnastics is a sport that requires a lot of strength and endurance. This camp is for current gymnasts and those interested in getting fit like a gymnast. From rope climbing to sprinting this camp will posses all of the elements that a gymnast needs to train hard! This camp will take place July 6-9. Mighty Munchkins Camp - Ages 3 to 6 This camp is for the energetic little ones in your life. This camp will create an outlet for some of that summer energy. Participants will begin developing basic tumbling skill to help them develop large motor skills. This camp also helps foster group learning skills in a positive environment. This camp will take place July 13-16. Gymnastics Camp - Ages 6 to 14 Gymnastics camp is for current gymnasts or youth that might be interested in becoming a gymnast. This camp is for all skill levels. From bars to beam all components are perfected or introduced for some. Come have some good flipping fun at Gymnastics Camp. This camp will take place July 20-23. Y130 Specialty Camps (Ages 5-12) Gymnastics Camp will be held at the all new Y130 Program Center. NEW Camp Location: Y130 Program Center

Back Handspring/Tumbling Camp - Ages 6 to 14 From back handsprings to cartwheels, this camp is all about perfecting tumbling skills. Participants are encouraged to set attainable goals to perfect and reach a skill by the end of the week. This camp is perfect for gymnasts or cheerleaders who are eager to get a new skill. This camp date is to be determined. Disney Dance Camp - Ages 3 to 6 This camp is for little ones who like to move and groove. Not only will this camp help improve early coordination development, it will also help ignite creative movement skills. Students will be introduced to basic dance techniques while being challenged to express themselves through dance and channeling their inner princess! This camp will take place July 6-9. Summertime Dace Party Camp - Ages 6 to 14 Themed by Teen Beach Movie from Disney, this camp will teach introductory dance skills while also developing past skills. This camp is for any past dance participants or those who are interested in getting involved in the art of dance. Participants will be introduced to many different forms of dance to allow them to help foster their passion for dance. It will take place on July 13-16. Kids Self Defense Camp - Ages 5 to 16 This camp will introduce the basic self defense techniques. Not only will participants be taught to handle common risky situations, they will have fun learning how to keep themselves safe. The safety of our youth is very important to us. This camp is perfect for any youth in todays unsafe world. It will take place on June 29-2. Kajukenfu Karate Camp - Ages 4-16 This camp will include a variety of martial arts training categories. From Karate to Judo many different skills will be introduced. This camp will be perfect for past Karate students and any youth interested in the sport. Conditioning will also be a focus of this camp. It will take place on July 6-9

GROW STRONGER TOGETHER FAMILY TIME We want to make healthy living easier so we offer 2 hours of complimentary childcare service per visit for children of our members while using our facilities for up to 8 hours/week. We engage kids in healthy interaction and attentive care. We offer two-hour rental of our multipurpose room at our Program Center. Ages: 3-12 years Member $100; Non-member $125 HEALTH, WELL-BEING & FITNESS FAMILY YMCA Y130 CENTER 133 Hill Street, Thomson, GA 30824 Monday Tour De Y - July 1 August 7 It s not France, but it s close! Tour De Y is an opportunity to collect a designated number of rides at any Family YMCA location to qualify for the final which is 4.5 hours of uninterrupted cycling. The final ride on August 15 will be hosted by the Family Y of Aiken for South Carolina branches and the Wilson Family Y for Georgia branches. All qualifying riders will receive a Tour de Y t-shirt at the final ride. $20/Members only; registration: begins June 1. Group Exercise Bump into your new best friend! We offer group exercise classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels all free to members. Class schedules are online at www.thefamilyy.org. Personal Training Being fit never goes out of style! We offer individual onehour personal training sessions with a certified personal trainer. Wellness Coaching Our goal is to help you reach yours! Wellness coaching is a personalized exercise support program offered FREE to members. Members can meet with a Wellness Coach for up to 3 training sessions during a 12-week period. Silver Sneakers The Silver Sneakers program entitles active older adult members to a basic fitness center membership and is offered at no additional cost to eligible members of participating insurance plans. Classes offered: Monday/Wednesday/: 10:15-11:15 am Tuesday/Thursday: 10-11 am

NEW FRIENDSHIPS, SKILLS AND MEMORIES Youth Sports We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive through team work and skill development in youth sports. KARATE Karate at the Y-130 will teach your child important life lessons disguised by blocks, kicks, punches and most importantly fun. Students will learn life skills such as focus, dedication, humility, self-control, discipline, respect, listening skills, and sportsmanship. Advances Karate does partake in multiple competitions through out the year. This program continues in remembrance of the honorable John Pereda. Wee Chops 101 Ages 4-7 This is the first step for children to be introduced to karate. This developmental exercise program introduces them to basic martial arts skills, along with basic ageappropriate athletic skills. Students will learn basic warmup exercises. Students will participate in a variety of activities that will develop and enhance coordination, flexibility, balance, strength and stamina. Students will be introduced to basic team sports skills and good sportsmanship. Students will learn and reinforce concepts of appropriate manners, courtesies, sportsmanship and Christian Values. After experience and evaluation the students will have the opportunity to move up to our intermediate karate class. Days: Tuesdays/s; 5:15-6 pm $43/Member; $63/Non-member Intermediate Karate In the advanced level of Karate here at the Y-130 Program Center students learn the basic punching, striking, kicking, defensive and offensive techniques of the Kajukenfu Kenpo style. As students gain experience they will progressively learn additional sparring and training techniques leading to more advanced training. The class is tailored to individual student interests and is taught in a fun, yet serious atmosphere. The style puts a strong focus on fast and effective use of the hands for both offense and defense. Weapon training in the system includes both Japanese and Chinese weapons. We use weapons training to build strength, enhance coordination and build self-confidence. Ohana Karate A: Ages: 7 and up Days: Tuesdays/s, 6-7 pm; s, 3-5 pm Fees: $43/Member; $63/Non-member Ohana Karate B (class is invitation only): Days: Tuesdays/s, 7-8 pm; s, 3-5 pm Fees: $43/Member; $63/Non-member GYMNASTICS Gymnastics at the Y-130 Program Center is offered for many ages and skill levels from Toddlers through High School. Our highly enthusiastic and USA Gymnastics certified coaches identify individual strengths and help students excel with emphasis on fun, movement and fundamentals. Tumble Tots: Ages 3-5 This class is a high energy class for your active 3-5 year old. Although this class is catered to short attention spans, your little one will be introduced to discipline, teamwork and the benefit of hard work. Basic gymnastics skills for all four apparatuses (vault, bars, beam and floor) will be introduced in this class. We will use fun drills and games to help your little one improve their balance, body awareness, coordination, flexibility and strength; which will be the main purpose of this class. This camp is for current gymnasts and those interested in getting fit like a gymnast. From rope climbing to sprinting this camp will posses all of the elements that a gymnast needs to train hard! This camp will take place July 6-9. Mighty Munchkins Camp - Ages 3 to 6 This camp is for the energetic little ones in your life. This camp will create an outlet for some of that summer energy. Participants will begin developing basic tumbling skill to help them develop large motor skills. This camp also helps foster group learning skills in a positive environment. This camp will take place July 13-16. Gymnastics Camp - Ages 6 to 14 Gymnastics camp is for current gymnasts or youth that might be interested in becoming a gymnast. This camp is for all skill levels. From bars to beam all components are perfected or introduced for some. Come have some good flipping fun at Gymnastics Camp. This camp will take place July 20-23. Back Handspring/Tumbling Camp - Ages 6 to 14 From back handsprings to cartwheels, this camp is all about perfecting tumbling skills. Participants are encouraged to set attainable goals to perfect and reach a skill by the end of the week. This camp is perfect for gymnasts or cheerleaders who are eager to get a new skill. This camp date is to be determined. Disney Dance Camp - Ages 3 to 6 This camp is for little ones who like to move and groove. Not only will this camp help improve early coordination development, it will also help ignite creative movement skills. Students will be introduced to basic dance techniques while being challenged to express themselves through dance and channeling their inner princess! This camp will take place July 6-9.

Summertime Dace Party Camp - Ages 6 to 14 Themed by Teen Beach Movie from Disney, this camp will teach introductory dance skills while also developing past skills. This camp is for any past dance participants or those who are interested in getting involved in the art of dance. Participants will be introduced to many different forms of dance to allow them to help foster their passion for dance. It will take place on July 13-16. Kids Self Defense Camp - Ages 5 to 16 This camp will introduce the basic self defense techniques. Not only will participants be taught to handle common risky situations, they will have fun learning how to keep themselves safe. The safety of our youth is very important to us. This camp is perfect for any youth in todays unsafe world. It will take place on June 29-2. Kajukenfu Karate Camp - Ages 4-16 This camp will include a variety of martial arts training categories. From Karate to Judo many different skills will be introduced. This camp will be perfect for past Karate students and any youth interested in the sport. Conditioning will also be a focus of this camp.
