HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION EMERGENCY OVERVIEW IRRITANT EYE SKIN CONTACT INHALATION INGESTION PHYSICO-CHEMICAL On contact, will bond eyelids together. Vapours are lachrymatory. Will cause eye irritation. On contact, immediate bonding of the skin will occur. Irritating to the skin. Vapour may be irritant to the respiratory tract. On contact, immediate bonding of mouth could occur. No unusual hazards are expected. PAGE 1 OF 6
ENVIRONMENTAL Unknown. 4. FIRST-AID MEASURES EYE SKIN CONTACT INHALATION INGESTION Get medical attention immediately. Flush with large amounts of water while holding eyelids open. Cured adhesive will not bond well to surface of the eye, but corneal damage from abrasion may result. Immediate medical attention is not required. No attempt should be made to remove material from skin or to remove contaminated clothing, as the bonded skin can be easily torn. If symptoms develop, obtain medical attention. Immediate medical attention is not required. Remove to fresh air. Get medical attention if irritation persists. Immediate medical attention is not required. Treat symptomatically and supportively. 5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES EXTINGUISHING MEDIA CO2; Dry Chemical; Foam SPECIAL FIREFIGHTING PROCEDURES Fire fighters should be equipped with self-contained breathing apparatus to protect against potentially toxic and irritating fumes. FIRE & EXPLOSION HAZARDS Cloths used to wipe up spill may cause rapid polymerisation that could generate sufficient heat to ignite the cloth. HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS Decomposes upon heating to release toxic fumes of nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen cyanide. LOWER EXPLOSION LIMIT (%) UPPER EXPLOSION LIMIT (%) AUTOFLAMMABILITY FLASH POINT > 81 C 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES SPILL AND LEAK PROCEDURES Small spills: wipe up with cloth. Immediately soak cloth with water to polymerize the adhesive. Caution! Cloth containing adhesive may undergo autoignition if not soaked with water. Large spills: flood area with water. When cured, remove film with a scraper. Wear approved respirator for organic vapours if needed, and protective clothing. For safety and environmental precautions, please review entire Safety Data Sheet for necessary information. PAGE 2 OF 6

For higher volume activities, or if needed for worker comfort, local mechanical exhaust should be provided. EYE PROTECTION Safety glasses, goggles or face shield to protect against splashing. REQUIREMENTS GLOVE REQUIREMENTS Personal eye protection should conform to EN 166. Nitrile rubber or Viton gloves are recommended. Cotton or other absorbent gloves should not be worn. Gloves should conform to EN 374. CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS Uniforms, coveralls, or a lab coat should be worn. WASH REQUIREMENTS Wash before eating, drinking, or using toilet facilities. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION EYE SKIN INHALATION INGESTION EFFECTS OF CHRONIC EXPOSURE On contact, will bond eyelids together. Vapours are lachrymatory. Will cause eye irritation. On contact, immediate bonding of the skin will occur. Irritating to the skin. Vapour may be irritant to the respiratory tract. On contact, immediate bonding of mouth could occur. Under EU legislation the cyanoacrylates do not require classification as sensitisers and the rapid polymerisation caused on contact with moisture makes this unlikely. However the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) has reported some limited evidence of skin and respiratory sensitisation. PAGE 4 OF 6
