«The Dengue & Chikungunya infections in India are seasonal. While efforts are constantly being made for prevention of upsurge & outbreaks of these diseases. Parallel efforts are being made to update the knowledge on prevention and research in these diseases. The firm collaboration between AIIMS and FAM, which is in third year now, seems to strengthen the ties in the areas of academic excellence and make further inroads in the understanding of these diseases. We welcome our French guests and guests from other countries for this very important symposium on Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya, organized jointly by AIIMS and FAM. AIIMS is proud of organizing this symposium in collaboration with FAM». Prof Randeep GULERIA «This important Symposium on Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya, organized jointly by AIIMS and the Fondation of the Academy of Medicine of France, is a direct follow up of the two Forums that took place previously in Delhi and Paris on November 2015 and 2016. The international experts coming from all over the world will have the opportunity to share their views and their own specific experiences. We welcome particularly this important initiative given the public health threats of these diseases and the challenges of their control and prevention. The Foundation of the Academy of Medicine is proud to contribute to this fight.» Dr Yves JUILLET 5
