ZORBAX CombiHT Preparative Columns For rapid preparative separations and fast re-equilibration in the 15-50 mg range Finger tight connections supply high pressure seal up to 7,000 psi End-fittings are reusable - only the column barrel itself is replaced Packed with ZORBAX StableBond (for low ph) and Eclipse XDB (for mid-range ph) for maximum column life Other column packing types can be supplied upon request For combinatorial chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or other high-throughput applications Complementary scale up from rapid analytical separations For fast gradient or fast isocratic separations Zorbax RP-HPLC Column Chemistry Descriptions Zorbax RP-HPLC preparative columns are offered in a variety of bonded phase types, depending on the ph of the mobile phase. In general, StableBond columns are recommended for low ph, Eclipse XDB and Bonus RP columns for mid-range ph, and Extend-C18 for high ph separations. Listed on the following pages are the characteristics of each bonded phase.

Reversed Phase ZORBAX StableBond Columns (80 Å and 300 Å) Longer column lifetime, reproducibility for low ph separations of basic and other compounds. Unique monofunctional silanes with bulky diisobutyl (with C18) or diisopropyl (with C8, C3, Phenyl, propyl CN) side chain groups sterically protect the key siloxane bond from hydrolytic attack at low ph. To maximize reproducibility under acidic ph conditions, StableBond packing materials are not endcapped.
