Consultant Speakers Dr Rahul Chodhari MMBBS, MRCP, FRCPCH, MSc (Molecular biology and Immunology) Consultant Paediatrics and Child Health, Allergy and Immunology Dr Chodhari qualified in Medicine in 1993. His subsequent paediatric training has included working at Royal Brompton, Royal Marsden, University College London and Great Ormond Street Hospitals. In 2002, he was awarded the prestigious Wellcome Trust clinical Fellowship and undertook research at University College London, focusing on respiratory problems in children such as recurrent chest infections. After obtaining accreditation, in 2008, he was appointed as Consultant Paediatrician at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation trust. He is a founding member of a popular one stop paediatric allergy service offering holistic allergy care for children in North London. The clinic boasts a multidisciplinary team including an allergy nurse, dietician and instant opinion form allied specialities such as Gastroenterology and ENT. The allergy clinic offers a full range of diagnostic tests, including skin prick tests and food challenges. Recently NHS England has granted the tertiary paediatric allergy status, recognising the advanced diagnostic options (Recombinant IgE testing, Spirometry and Exhaled Nitric Oxide) and specialised treatments (such as immunotherapy), which it has to offer.

Consultant Speakers Dr Peter Dupont PhD, FRCPI Consultant Nephrologist and Clinical Lead for Private Dialysis Unit Dr Dupont qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons Medical School, Dublin in 1993. He trained in Nephrology on the North Thames specialty training scheme and completed a PhD in transplantation immunology at Imperial College London, Hammersmith Hospital in 2005. He was appointed Consultant Nephrologist/Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Royal Free Hospital, London in 2006 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in 2008. He has a subspecialty interest in renal transplantation including pre-transplant assessment, infectious complications of transplantation and management of chronic allograft dysfunction. He is principal investigator for a number of clinical trials in renal transplantation. Dr Dupont is member of the Renal Association, British Transplantation Society and the London Transplant Research Network. Dr Mark Vanderpump MB ChB, MRCP, MD, CCST in General Medicine, Endocrinology and Diabetes, FRCP General Medicine and Endocrinology Consultant Dr Vanderpump s prime area of expertise is thyroid disease but his main clinical practice includes all aspects of diabetes and endocrinology. Dr Vanderpump has published papers on various aspects of thyroid disease and various aspects of thyroid disease. Dr Vanderpump has also served on the Executive Committee of the British Thyroid Association (2002 2008).
