Potential Culprit: Fructose Foods and beverages in the US are typically sweetened with Sucrose (50% glucose, 50% fructose) High-fructose corn syrup (45% 58% glucose, 42% 55% fructose) Consumption is highest among 12 18 year-olds (12.1% of total calories).
