GENERAL INFORMATION Local organizer: Pietro Vajro University of Salerno, Italy email: pvajro@unisa.it Vietri sul Mare ("on the Sea") is a village near Salerno, in the Campania Region of Southern Italy. It is a popular tourist destination and it is a convenient place to visit the Amalfi Coast. The inhabitants call it The First Pearl of the Coast, claiming that the Amalfi coast begins there. Vietri is popular also for the production of ceramics (dishes, flowerpots, vases and tiles) that can be found in restaurants, hotels and homes throughout the Amalfi area. Moreover, Vietri is a convenient starting-point to visit the archeological sites of Pompeii and Haerculaneum. The number of participants is limited to 40. Candidates will be selected based on their CVs, on their academic qualifications and on their publication record. Applications must be sent by 28 February. Selected participants will be advised by March 15 and will have to register by April 13. REGISTRATION FEE Registration 750.00 (VAT 22% included) Registration fee includes: attendance to scientific sessions, congress material, attendance certificate, accommodation for 3 nights in shared double room (single accommodation will be available at extra charge), lunches, coffee breaks and dinners, tour in the surroundings, as indicated in the scientific programme. Travel grants Three travel grants will be awarded to selected candidates from EU and non-eu less advantaged areas. For those who travel by plane at Capodichino airport, ESPGHAN shuttle buses to the Venue will be scheduled at set times according to the arrivals. Moreover, a public bus service connects Capodichino to Salerno. For participants arriving by train, the nearest high-speed train station is Salerno.
