PROJECT SUMMARY Why? The project addresses to the increased dems of society concerning prophylaxis rehabilitation in various fields. We have to consider that kinetotherapist profession (the equivalent of physiotherapist/kinésithérapeut in Europe) is a new one on the labour market in Romania because of this, there are few places in Romania where they could develop good routines by following specific stards procedures. What we intend to do? We intend to develop a Training Center for Health Care, Prophylactic Rehabilitation Services where recent graduated kinetotherapists can improve their practical knowledge, but also students or nurses can get the needed practical knowledge by working directly with patient under guiding supervision of specialists. We have already found the location of this Center in one of the buildings of our University where we have got some medical physiotherapy specific equipment. In this way we value the idea that the access to learning opportunities for all relies not only on the motivation ability of individuals to learn but also on the creation of appropriate conditions of learning in the different settings, particularly in the workplace. The training programme will be structured on 3 levels, one for each category from the target group, will include distance learning practical learning by several modules runned by invited professors. The final products will consists in elaborating new modules of formation, new training approaches (working with the patient, interactive learning through open distance system), elaboration of different materials at the end of the programme (elaborating using of CD ROMs) that will permit to continue vocational training. Our foreign partners will be chosen among both medical physiotherapy professionals with high physiotherapy competencies but also competencies in multimedia services for disabled persons PARTENERS: PREFECTURE OF DOLJ COUNTRY FUKO UNIVERSITARY FOUNDATION FOR KINETOTERAPY ORADEA UNIVERSITY OF ORADEA HOGESCHOOL WEST-VLAANDEREN VAN, BELGIUM ENTENTE UK SCUE / STUDIO DI CONSULENZA PER L UNIONE EUROPEA, ITALIA TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF CRETE, GREECE
