INSIDE THIS EDITION March Meeting Show Season Prayer requests Board Members Cars and Coffee March 4 March Meeting 5-6 Happy Birthday Clint 7 Upcoming Events 8 2 3 MARCH AT PIZZA CORNER The March meeting of the SENCMC was held on Sunday March 8 at Pizza Corner in Wallace, NC. We want to thank Colwell Smith for arranging this location and we need to thank the owners and staff of Pizza Corner for opening on Sunday to allow us to meet in their restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and efficient for our meeting. Terry Thompson, president of SENCMC, opened our meeting by welcoming all our members and our guests. We had 41 members present and 3 guests. Sara Crimbring, Carvelle Easter, and DeAngelo Griffin joined us for our meeting and we do hope that they will be back to join us. The minutes of the February meeting were read by Emily Griffith, and Gloria Thompson gave our treasurers report. We have $2, 386.48 in our treasury. Gloria also emphasized that any member who has not paid their dues for 2015 will be removed from our roster and will no longer be receiving email updates or the newsletter each month. Jessie and Jackie Lisane have invited us to hold our April meeting at their home for a Pig Pickin. We will ask that each family bring a dish to share with those present, please bring a salad, a side dish, a dessert or drinks to share. If you have a specialty (such as Bonnie s world famous banana pudding) please bring that to share. We circulated a sign-up sheet and so far have a nice variety of food to share and enjoy. Please be sure to bring something if you are coming to this meeting. Jessie and Jackie s address is 2178 S. NC 11 HWY, Rose Hill, NC 28458. Plans are being discussed for our November meeting to attend a Christmas show in Myrtle Beach. We will vote to decide if we want to attend a show at The Carolina Opry or the Alabama Theater. We will meet for dinner before the show and then attend the show together. We will vote on the location when we have details to consider including the price and times of the shows. Our May or June meeting will be a dyno day/ combo white meeting at National Speed. We should have the details of this meeting ready to announce at the April meeting.

PONY EXPRESS MARCH AT PIZZA CORNER Our annual show will be held on October 10 in the K Mart parking lot. We need to be on the lookout for items for the goodie bags and for door prizes so that we continue to have quality items for our show. On March 21 we will be celebrating the 21 st birthday of our member at large, Clint Morrell. We will be cruising down I40 and as members join along the way we will all finish our cruise at Golden Corral on New Centre Drive in Wilmington. This was planned as a surprise for Clint. Terry recognized those with birthdays in March. We had quite a few March birthdays. Kristina Danley, JC Edwards, Greg Griffith, Bob Ellis, Wanda Dixon, and Clint Morrell. Robert and Karen Clarke are celebrating their anniversary this month as well. Terry shared with us that he had visited Randy Rackley and saw the 1970 Boss 302 that Randy is restoring. There were over 300 cars in attendance at the March Cars and Coffee on Saturday, March 7. The April Cars and Coffee is scheduled for April 4, 2015 at Chilis on College Rd. in Wilmington, NC. Teresa Ellis is in need of an enclosed trailer for her business items she takes to shows around the area. If you know of one that she could purchase please contact her at bellis1@ec.rr.com Terry awarded a door prize to the drivers of the oldest mustang in attendance. Robert and Karen Clark won this prize. John Talatinian won a free dyno pull that was donated by Pat and Ted Piekut. James McCoy won our 50/50 drawing of $68. We held the raffle for the car cover that had been donated to our club. Neil Anders won this prize. Jessie Lisane prayed to bless our meal. Terry adjourned the meeting and we enjoyed a delicious meal and lovely day to drive back home. SHOW SEASON IS BEGINNING Now that Spring is arriving so is the Spring and Summer Show Season. We want to share all the results from our members who attend shows. Please share with our board members any photos from shows and let us know when you win awards at these shows. Our members frequently bring home awards from shows and we want to be able to recognize their achievements this show season. Page 2
